Saturday, May 22
Looking for places/events to run to:
We, as a group, on Saturday decided the Prescott gathering has been cancelled.
1. Chino Valley Car Show: http://tinyurl.com/28m72t2 but starts 8am. MikieC would never make it.
2. Cars & Coffee: http://tinyurl.com/28cl4n2 Sat am early no trophies.
Plus Steve V has organized this cruise. http://tinyurl.com/2fzdgrd
3. Cruisin Main St Mesa: http://tinyurl.com/23kfnre late in the day.
4. Cruisin Superior: http://tinyurl.com/2alvpxf also late in the day.
I think I will join Steve this Saturday and see what happens after. I have a coffee cup with me at all times.

The AZ Cobras used to have quite a presents at Kirk Sports Bar on Main St. in Mesa for these events. I think we should try it again.

Dan, I love you man but I have difficulty driving at night because of Cadillacs in both eyes. The lens in my left eye was replaced but still gives the aura around lights and the right eye is worse but not bad enough to replace. Sorry, got to stay close to home when it's dark. Will probably to to the Peoria Safeway Cruise on Saturday night. http://tinyurl.com/2fhjbv9

Bob, Is that the normal spot or something new?
If any of the east bubscrew crew is interested in Main St. Saturday nite, let me know and I'll contact Kirk's and see if we can get our parking lot again.

I would love to join you all this weekend but I will be suffering in the Bahamas (the Atlantis Resort) starting friday for 10 days. 2 Years ago for our anniversary had the trip booked but 3 hurricanes hit the week before we were supposed to leave and I had to cancel. I thought about trying to take my cobra in my suitcase but with what they charge for bags nowadays, I thought it would put m over the weight limit! Sorry I missed the burgers last weekend butI had to work. I did get out for a short cruise sunday night and was able to open her up a bit now that the motor has been broken in (again)

I looked at your website and there is a misprint. It says that your coffee thing starts at 6 am. Obviously that is a typo, you meant 8 am , no?

Dan,
It does seem to be running well. I can attest that starting in second, dropping the clutch at about 5000 rpm it laid rubber for about 50 feet and I was doing 60 before I could hang on enough to shift it into 3rd. It was the first time I really laid into it and it did not dissapoint. (All while observing all speed limits of course!

Dumping the clutch in second gear at 5K? Hmm. That's something I've never tried.

Well first gear is next to useless with this much torque. As soon as I take off I am shifting into second. For " scientific purposes only" 3rd gear from a dead stop will also lay a little rubber. I hadn't done that but I figured in the name of science I would give it a try.
