Imagine being in that environment every day with full gear. I admire our troops.

Amen to our troops!!

I was in Phoenix on business in late 80's/early 90's (can't remember what year?!?) when they were setting those record temps. I walked out of downtown hotel one day @ 0900 hrs, it was already 110 F, I think it got to 119 that day. Bad enough in the shade, but step out into the sun!!! And I'm used to Okla 100-102 F and high humidity.

I like Flagstaff temp/elevation better!! Which is where I'll be sometime in next two weeks; taking a two week vacation to NW NM, southern UT, northern AZ.

Exclamation Arizona is not ALL Hot

If you are too hot move up to the high country like we do for the summer. Our highs are usually the Phoenix lows. 85 deg at 3:00 PM. today.
