Amen to our troops!!
I was in Phoenix on business in late 80's/early 90's (can't remember what year?!?) when they were setting those record temps. I walked out of downtown hotel one day @ 0900 hrs, it was already 110 F, I think it got to 119 that day. Bad enough in the shade, but step out into the sun!!! And I'm used to Okla 100-102 F and high humidity.
I like Flagstaff temp/elevation better!! Which is where I'll be sometime in next two weeks; taking a two week vacation to NW NM, southern UT, northern AZ.
