What kind of use? Is this for neighborhood sleepovers or serious camping? Where?
Sleeping Bags have a wide variety of temperature ranges and composition. I've got a medium temp range (good to about 30*F) that is very light and packs pretty small. Lower temps get larger and heavier.
Basically, need more info.

Mike, back in our Boy Scout days I started out with Coleman bags with 30 degree ratings but ending up with 10 degree bags to satisfy all the different terrains we faced in Arizona. Never went camping in snow except when we were surprised in the morning. Modern prices about $60.

Here is a review with several varieties and comfort levels. Generally the kids are ok with moderately priced ones as they normally don't venture out when the anticipated weather is to be extremely cold.

Outdoor camping with friends and family creates some of most lasting memories that children can ever develop.

I'm looking for something in the 0 degree range. This should keep them warm no matter what. Serious camping. Do they even make bags specifically for kids 5 to 10 years of age? I remember when I was young we used a grownup one and that was it.

Mike SlumberJack makes smaller bags but they are not marketed specifically for kids.

You are near Cabella's in Phoenix. That's the Mothership for all things outdoors....

Women seem to do a better job than us fellas in the shopping department. What you might have bought would have been wrong anyway, and then you would have to take them back, and then you would have to buy new ones, and they might be wrong too. Whew.
Thank Ginny for saving you a lot of time and money, well, time anyway.
