Default Rte 66 in the bag.

This years Rte 66 is over. Great time was had by all, I hope.

Huge thanks to Jay and Trish for a great breakfast and superb hospitality. No major car problems, except for Stuart. One minor one for me. All fixed.

One of the highlights were the sighting of 6 Big Horned Sheep. I'll post pics later.

All signed up for next year. It is the 25th anniversary of the run.

Great trip as usual. Ginny (Mario) Canning led us up to Chino Valley. Next stop was Seligman at Sno Cap Diner. On to Kingman where it was 37 degrees this morning. The Saturday run was a bit nippy but sunny. Sandy found out some of his 511 motor's capabilities. He's still smiling. Nice run to Kingman from Seligman on Saturday, then some went on to Oatman and some to the car show. Ended up at Kingman Steakhouse Friday (good steaks) and as usual, Pizza Hut on Saturday. Only oops was Stuart's rocker arm break. Needs a better engine builder.

Let me mention a few other events during the run: Car Nut took me on one great thrill ride in that GT500. Whew! Plus it was warm. Scotty makes a great roomate except for that no sleep because I snore part. He had some great jokes too. No matter how many times he told them. Don's car needs a noise maker like the Prius's. Mikie is the MASTER of the burnout. Fitz's car is alone on top of loud. Lyle's new Boss 302 was on the receiving end of a great number of finger pointing it is soooo cool. Danr is Danr....so?

Mikiec, it must have been the lighting. Danr's car looked even more Chevy-Orange than usual. Almost to the point of "tomato soup, made with milk" color.

Tomato soup made with milk that runs on the hiway color..as opposed to the washed out, mottled grey that sits in the garage color..

Looks like you had a bunch of fun and cold fingers. Sorry I missed it but I had to begin preparations for an upcoming bike trip. Maybe next year for the 25th.

See you at Laughlin though.

Dennis, you missed some 12 and 18 year old single malt scotch, plus fine cigars. Except for the cold part it was a great run. Scott and Dan were supplying.

Nice pics Mikie. I bailed out a little early on this trip. My need for speed was overcome by a need for a nap. I had this reoccurring nightmare where my roommate was sawing logs with Tool Time's Tim Allen's supercharged chainsaw in one hand, and a jar of vaseline in the other. The nightmare stopped after Birthday Boy woke up. Go figure !

I had a great time! Thanks go to Mikie and Ginny for setting up this run and doing all the work getting the rooms etc.; and Ginny, thanks for the cheese and crackers and cookies. Luck would have it that Bob's birthday was celebrated so we had some good cake too. And thanks Jay for the down-home hospitality and delicious breakfast.

Other than my fingers getting cold and my earplugs not expanding because of the temperature, man, that AM run to Seligman was FUN. I missed that one stupid stoplight to the I-40 on-ramp in Kingman (police sitting right there, dang) and it took me 80 miles to catch up, but it was the catching up part that was so fun -- it gave me an excuse. Having an engine working well helped too.

Super group of folks and I'm really looking forward to Laughlin.

Kudos again for Jay and Trish's hospitality. It was a great breakfast as usual and my wife and I enjoyed it immensely.

Nice meeting and renewing a few faces. Glad I finally found out what happened to Scotty, thought Bob turned serial killer.

As far as the burnout ratings, I think black tire marks should score higher than those little light gray ones.

Finally, if a certain person needs to get the brown paint off the nose of their car, 3-M makes a real good rubbing compound. Just sayin"

Hey! I resemble that! Missed Scotty on Saturday night. We needed some entertainment.

Did you hear the one about the guy who walks into the Psychiatrists office wearing nothing but saran wrap ? The doctor said " I can clearly see you're nuts " I know I told that more than once, But you guys are a little slow, or you just showed up late.

Single malt, cigars OMG.

I'll just have to smoke a few Cubans and down some ancient port on my trip to make up for a missed opportunity. And I don't mean people! RE: Seinfeld.

Glad you guys had a great time.

Scotty had 4 jokes. He told them all twice but that scotch made him forget. I've already used the one with the "That's a big word for a 12 year old" punch line. Good joke. Scotty was entertaining.
