'Ya know I sometimes wonder if the average I.Q. of our members borders on 75 or 80 level...Is that idiot or cretin?

Let's see, Yuba City is 800 miles from Phoenix, I would be driving in several rain storms in California, insurance is paying for the transport, enclosed, to my front door, do you have any idea how many bugs and rock chips I would pick up along the way? I would rather give the fresh paint a chance to cure before I carefully drive it up to the 3M guy for a mask after delivery.

Gee, maybe I should just listen to you rocket scientists and just drive it home.

Merry Xmas to all

Bill

Stone chips are a badge of honor. Driving in the rain shows how manly you are. The paint will cure faster at driving speeds.

Don't need that stinkin 3M stuff.

what they said use to be you looked in the garage to see if dust got on the freshly waxed toy; then the first few stone chips; then just worrying about not driving off the road; or just being in front or back of "the Stu". Now it s just tough getting "in and out".......... now it starts

Thinking about what put that Beautiful car in the body shop in the first place having it shipped was a good idea.

Bill, maybe I'll morf into a cretin, but first I have to get my IQ above my standard 62. I should have caught on when I looked at your bio that you average about 1300 miles a year on your car. You must prefer for your car to be garage decoration or a trailer queen, rather than to be driven. Its your car, do as you want. I'll just try real hard to not be directly in front of you, if you do take it for a drive. Of course, first I've got to get mine back on the street after its 4 wheeling experience.

Fitz hitz the nail on the head! Years ago, my first stone chip on my new paint was tramatic but then and there, I decided it was not a show car or trailer queen. It was meant to be driven, balls to the wall, and although I tried to keep the car looking nice, the thrill of power and speed got the better of me, over and over. Maybe I will have gained some sense by the time the car is back on the road. Ya shure, you betcha.
