Looks like Bill is AWOL. He was going to the Huntington Beach show but was a no-show. Anybody know where he is and up too?

I talked to Bill today. His motor is all better now. If he doesn't feel safe for an out of town break-in run, Bill can ride with me.
See you all Friday.
AZ Grandpa again last night Bob

Thanks Bob and Mike for your concerns. I spent the last 4 days at Bob Ream's working with him on the car. Every time we tested some piece of electronics something else would fail!! Finally sorted it out with replacing the Mallory CD with MSD 6A. I was intermittent and finally failed...plus the Accel Distributor module was OK then not OK. The signal on the red bulb was solid and not pulsing. Bob found another module and resoldered the old wires to it. Amazingly it started immediately and idled at 850 rpm's.
The MAP sensor was indicating "no vacuum" but that was fixed by tightening the hose clamps. I learned a lot watching Bob and asking questions. He's the man!
Decided not to take car on this trip just in case something else fails. Don't want to have another $600 tow to PHX. Will put some miles on next week locally instead.
I'll travel and bunk with Bob B this trip. At least I'm going.
See ya there...
Bill

Bob has an amazing place. He runs the place like he loves it. When I have carb or fuel issue he is there right away. He sorted out my slight missing out at 4000 rims in 3rd gear. Know his stuff!

Never a dull day...
Thx for bringing the "stuff". You noticed my missing Cobra did you? Seems as I was getting on the 101 North I touched the brake pedal and lo and behold the pedal went to the floor!
I actually turned around at Cabela's and limped home on a slight rear brake pedal 20 miles to the house. What a fun ride that was.
After examination I found the braided line to the right front had failed. I noticed it did not have the usual twist in it to avoid the wheel rim. This was done at the body shop when they removed the right suspension for straightening. Attention to detail is a nice thing. Parker on 43rd Avenue made a new line in 10 minutes for $20. Installation is correct now and brakes are nice and firm. Glad it didn't happen on the freeway at 80 mph!

Glad it is all good. I still need to check out your battery location. It will have to wait a couple of weeks though.
