Lonestar & Inde (wilcox, AZ) racing.
Hey Lonestar, If you are interested in some track time at the Inde track ( Wilcox, AZ ) I can put you on our mailing list. The basic info is: The group is run by a loose group of Mustang owners. Over the last two years it has evolved into a collection of various car clubs and racing type guys. We have gotten the track (RENTED) about four times a year and always on a national holiday, Thanksgiving, Mother's day, etc. The upcoming night event is a FIRST at the track. The cost is between $150 and $200. For that amount you'll get four to six, 20 minute sessions on the track. Normally in the afternoons the number of cars on the track drops and you can get on every third or forth group. All of the usual track rules apply. Due to the low number of participants allowed it is usually "sold out " quickly. If you google earth Wilcox, AZ. look for the airport just west and slightly north of town, from there follow the road on the north side of the airport to the west about four miles or so , some gees & jaaws, the track will be on the south side of that road. It is built with an old runway (east /west) as the long straight away. There are a few military jets in static display around the track.

Thank you John
I know where it is and love the track. I've participated with NASA events there on 3 occasions. So this event is basically a club event? Is there any info you can send me? Also, are you going to be there? I've not had my cobra down there so I'm a little excited. I just got my cobra back last night and feel like a healed up sore if you know what I mean. If you are going to be there it gives me that much more reason to go.
Thanks. Lonestar #024

Lonestar, I won't be there, I'll be in Kentucky. The "club" is a loose group of guys who like to race. One guy does all of the footwork and has been doing a good job. Send me your email at aida_kerekes@msn.com and I'll send you the latest email that I have from him. The next race is a night time event, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. How does it feel to drive the Cobra in 105 + ???
LuckyWinner, there will be a couple Cobras there that I know of right now.

John, of all the members,(besides Ralph), you know exactly how I feel right now. My wife and I can't wait for Laughlin and are making plans already and only had the cobra back for 2 days. Lots of excitement at our home. We went for a ride last night and the wife said "it's great to have her back home where she belongs".
You can send that info to topcatfin@aol.com if you would. I would like to be involved at this event. I am already taking tires from my open track car and making adjustment to the cobra just to participate.
Thank you. Lonestar #024

Lonestar, you should try to make the Coronado Trail run with us in September. It's one of the prettiest drives in Arizona.

Tom, I think Dan wants you to go because of your black cobra, he misses his black car. People make fun of his Chebby Orange colored one, and that ain't nice.

Hope to see some too. We'll be there but with a silver Z06 with black rims. I'll keep an eye out for you.

As LMH has mentioned, I'll be driving, but in my Z06 as my Daytona is being rewired and I don't feel it's track ready yet. I know that Joe Mensching will be out there with his Superformance (red with white stripes, 15" Billboard tires) Joe and I ran in the same group a couple of months ago at INDE. His car is set up very well and sticks like glue in the turns! See you there!

Update: This may not go well. I'm at the track now and raining lightly but has been heavy. Track is flooded at the moment. I'll update more shortly.

Track is drying out and no more rain but there's still water flowing across the start/finish.
We may get to run some tonight but if anyone is thinking of coming out now, I'd say forget it. More events will be coming.
