I was in your spot a few ago. I joined the MCSO Posse. Spent a year going through some fairly difficult training. You don't get paid and spend some $ but the experience is awesome.

Actually Walmart would be fine if I was responsible for all cleaning vendors at all the stores..... With staff working with me. Windows, housekeeping, pressure washing, supplies etc
Ha!

Fitz, I volunteer three mornings a week at the heart hospital that saved my life 8 1/2 years ago. No authority, tiny responsibility, zero stress, and a nice warm fuzzy about being able to give something back. Good way to use some time and any of the hospitals can always the help.

You could work for Gordon and get your car worked on for free.

Build your own car. That's the first thing I did when I retired. Now, I have a part time job !

I retired about a year ago, age 50 now. What I did has nothing to do or is nothing I can use in the private sector. Bored for about a year, now have discovered working for myself instead of paying someone else 20-30 an hour works for me, updating my current house and just bought another which will require considerable work. I don't think I would want another 'boss'.

There are plenty of things to do, take your time and discover where your energies would be best applied to make you happy or give you a feeling of accomplishment. It is interesting for me to do things I haven't done before in working on this house, with the internet there is plenty of information to research. Go outside your comfort zone for best results might be a good mantra.
