Default Front Nose Paint Protector Film

I know this has been discussed in past but "may" get front section painted in future and after 30 days of curing will want to put film on to protect front of car. I have the bra for winter but looking for the other protection. Where do you buy it? I looked at Finish Line and don't see it? Anybody in Phoenix install it. I don't have the patience to do it right. Last time I had it done too soon and the Porsche clowns peeled the paint off. (My fault for doing it too fast)

One of the few things I haven't addressed or changed in last year.
Have put new tires, carb, hoses, HD radio and speakers/amp, fuel pump /regulator; 2 batteries little over year ago plus getting new Ron Davis radiator soon so it is time to start worrying about it.

I used the 3M spray-on paint protection on the rear fenders and it went on really well. I'm considering using the same product on only the very lower part of the face of the car, but I'm not even sure I want to do that.

Fitz the product is made by 3M, it is bit pricey but great results, I have both my rear fenders done and paid about $300.00. Never did the nose since my car does not do winter rides. See pictures

Thumbs up

I used a company called Xpel. Covered my nose, top of the doors and spats.
You had to look very closely to even know it was on there, and never yellowed in over 5 years. They have a pattern for a Cobra, at least the dealer I used had one from Xpel at the time.
There are several installers in the Phoenix area:
XPEL PPF and Clear Bra Installers in Phoenix, Arizona, United States
Worth a check.

Fitz, There's a new product out that is a self installed spray that has gotten lots of good chatter. I've had a can of it for several months but haven't used it yet since the car is going back to the paint shop for a re-do on the ghost stripes. The whole car will have to be sanded down since the stripes go under the clear coats. The can was about $25 at Auto Zone. I passed on their "installation kit" (blue tape and thin plastic sheeting for protecting the areas you don't want sprayed) also passed on their $10 trigger spray handle. Figured my $3 Home Depot handle would be just fine. The name of the spray is 3M Paint Defender and you can do a search here on CC for a lot of input. The stuff peels off with a little heat so if you don't like it, its no biggie and you're out only $25.

Hay, Karl I am considering the same for my Cobra this winter, but since I will be in AZ and no garage was going to pass to next spring. I would like to see yours when I get to AZ in Jan. Look forward to meeting you and discussing this project.

Hey all, my neighbor is the 3M automotive sales rep for the SW. I'm sure he would love to meet everyone and will answer any questions anyone has. We could plan for a meet and greet if anyone would be interested.

I had local shop purchase Suntek (they have had good product from them in the past.. but like any vendor things change) The shop was not pleased with the lay it laid on the nose of the car around lower lamp area; If you want I can e-mail you pix. The shop did some custom trimming and I very ok with it. The rest of it looks great.

I am having beers and Rita's with Brian! the 3M rep tonight. I am sure he would look to meet everyone and talk coatings lube paint and boobs. I will set up a function with him, most likely I will bring him to a lunch or show.

Cheers
