I'm looking forward to getting those cool historic plates that AZ has... low fees as well!

Ouch!

Registered my CA SB100 F5R MKII in Arizona (Prescott) in 2008. Took about 1/2 hour including the check for CA vin, etc. Easy.

Had my inspection yesterday... took a total of 10 min. $22.50 later I was walking out with my AZ registration. Boy CA ought to take a lesson from the AZ neighbors to the east!

Oh boy, them's fightin' words

Everyone who isn't in California thinks the same, and everyone in CA thinks the whole place is screwed up too but they still live there, until like you, they don't, to find someplace less restrictive. Toss the state, and Nanci Pelosi, out, and give it back. Oh, them's fightin words

P.S. Was it a 5 year plate?

I got the renewal for my Cobra (that I don't own any more) and it was $25 or so with no emissions for an additional 5 years on my vanity plates.

I had the choice of a 5 year plate but went for one year to start. $22 bucks! Still undecided as to which plate to go with and to get personalized or not. Way more choices than what CA offers. I love it. Should have made the decision to move here years ago.

I'm happy here in CA and I don't think "the whole place is screwed up." Please don't speak for all Californians.

Thank you very much.

4815, In spite of our "questionable" legislators and "what stoopid thing next" goings on, AZ is a pretty wonderful place to live. Nice and toasty, Plenty of UV rays. I spent the first 30 years of my life in the gloom, cold, and wetness of Ohio but have now been here 37 years and it is certainly our home.

The vehicle licensing is generally pretty painless, especially if you heed some of the advice available.

Tell me.....Why Bullhead City????????? Who you hiding from? ha

NYG

Stay where you are. Your attitude is not needed here. We have more than enough.

Anyone who thinks the CA titling/registration process for these cars is anything less than a debacle and a tragedy needs to stay in Kalifornia. Please do not bring that sentiment here.

Plenty of REAL tragedies and debacles around the world to pick from. SB100/SPCNS is not one of them. A bit of perspective is needed.

While not as simple as AZ's process, visiting the DMV, BAR and the CHP is not a complex process. If you feel that way, then great. Personally, I don't feel that way.

I LOVE CA.

My SB100 was a cluster F**K... The local DMV people were complete idiots and didn't know a thing. Finally a supervisor knew somewhat about the process but she wasn't there most of the time. I kept having to go back over and over for the same thing. Then when I had an appointment at the Ventura CHP the officer that did the inspections for some unknown reason took the day off. I was greeted rudely by the worker bee at the front counter... not even a CHP officer. Couldn't get another appointment for 3 weeks. Boy was I pissed! Ended up driving 30 miles the next day to Santa Clarita and finally found a friendly and courteous CHP person and officer. At least the BAR guy was cool and easy to work with. All he did was place the sticker under the hood. I guess one out of three wasn't bad.

I think AZ is a great place to live and I'm not a retired white person! About half the crew I work with is black and they think AZ is a great place to live. Sounds like someone is reflecting something that someone heard from a cousin of a neighbor's brother.

All this talk just because DANR thought Nancy Pelosi was a caddy? Well, she would have a title as assistant to the assistant caddy.

Geez, move on. Gotta run, my hot young girlfriend is heating up the wax.

Dave from Chandler

PS. Red wine from Oregon is underrated.
