Default Another Set of Tires

Time for another set of tires on "Babe." I've had Goodyear GTII last 2 sets. 1 new set then 1 pair of rears found in speed shop in PA. Getting too old for safety. Mfr in 2003. Waiting for new tires to arrive at Discount Tire. Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels in 255/60 front and 295/50 rear. This will be my 6th set of rear tires for some reason??? By the way, even though Discount Tire doesn't stock them they ordered them anyway and the price was the same as Summit, Jegs and any other online source plus no shipping cost.
This week, probably Thursday.

Bob,
I got my MT's from Discount also and they did a great job and a great price.
My SR's hook up 1000% better then my old Goodyear GTII's.

I've been researching tires for the Cobra for 2 months now. Going with Nitto NT555's this time. Have Kumho Exsta's now but they are almost 8 yrs old, time for a change. I've heard nothing but good about Nitto's. Will interesting to see how they compare with Kumho's.

BobB, if your new Sportsman S/Ts hook up anywhere near as good as my MT SRs, you're gonna love 'em. Hopefully they'll be a little better on wet pavement than mine....

BTW, how U is?

Default Thanks for asking

Thanks for asking Karl. In a word, sore. I would not wish this procedure on anyone (outside of Obama.) After having a garden hose size catheter for 17 days, it got removed on July 7th. It was the 5th best day of my life after 1 marriage, 2 kids and 1 cobra delivery. I used so much K-Y I still can’t grab my pecker, just slips out. I’ve graduated from Depend pull-ups to some king of Kotex in jockey shorts. The Netherlands is so wet all the time I have mushrooms growing down there. Constantly trying to strengthen my bladder sphincter. Can’t go far but at least now I can drive. I am improving. Next step is radiation. Starts after next Urologist appointment in Sept. I’m told I will lose my sphincter control again. Long trips may be at an end. Haven’t tried beer yet. Cancer sucks. Getting old sucks.
Rant over.

BobB, glad you are improving but I'm not envious of your current situation. I don't even like the usual case of swamp-butt I get when driving my car for any length of time, in the summer. You better hope you don't lose your curly locks. I remember receiving some unwarranted harassment about my shiny dome, and you know what they say about Karma...

I just installed Cooper Cobras - was told they are the same as your MTs. So far, I like them very much and they were LESS $ than the MTs. My research on all the specs support what I heard about them being the same and they are both owned/manufactured by the same company.

Bob – good luck with the treatment. I’m a cancer survivor myself (lymph nodes).

I’m itching to get new tires on my Superformance. I’m embarrassed to say I still have the original BFG TAs on it. Want BBs, but haven’t pull the trigger yet. For the stupid high prices I just paid for new tires on my roadbike (bicycle) and streetbike (motorcycle), I should be throwing Avons on the Cobra.

Default Tires are on

Total for everything. $753. Looks good. Lots of tread. Tire Mfr date 2014. Ready for safe trips. 255/60 front 295/50 rear. Same as always.

Looks purdy Bob, but your garage is disgustingly neat and clean.

I've been promoted to "normal?"
I'll have to take a photo of the rest of the garage. That wall and water heater was replaced this year after roof leak. Didn't want to fill it up too quick.
