Got reply from Denise. Apparently we will find out from Channel 12 tomorrow, Wednesday. I will post ASAP.

The drive may be in the rain with the way the newscasters are talking. 40%chance Fri night to Sat morning. I have coffee if you bring a mug. Breakfast is on you- whatever you bring?

Default We Have A Schedule

Here is the e-mail response from Denise after 2pm today:

Bob,
We have 8:45am scheduled for your group on Sat. morning. Matt Pace will go live with weather at exactly that time so, we’ll want to have your group probably slowly entering the driveway just about that time so there’s a good stream of cars coming in but we’ll need you/your spokesperson in and parked before so you’re available to answer a few questions on air!

Sound good? Please provide me a little blurb about your club, why you picked Phoenix Children’s and the name of the person who’ll be interviewed. I have to provide Channel 12 details ahead of time.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Thank you,
Denise

I have asked Dr Bruce Nelson to be our spokesperson since this was all his idea to begin with. We will need to gather at Bruce's office parking lot for a departure time of 8:15am then in typical AZCOBRA fashion, we will wing it.
I will tell Denise some fibs about how great you guys are.
AZ Bob

Bob, Don't blow it up too bad. We won't be able to live up to it.. Well, most of us won't.

I don't know who is coming from the east side, but if we leave the Chevron Station at Recker and McKellips or the one at Brown and Ellsworth by 7:40 we should make it to Doc's office about the right time.. (8:00) What say you?

Oh, Bob are we going to pack the toys in the cars and the wagons in a truck or are they all going in the truck?

Charlie is bringing a truck and Bruce Nelson is towing a trailer with his Jeep if needed. Both read CC regularly and will know what is happening.

Looking forward to getting some of DrDuc's free coffee. Kinda bumbed about the lack of biscuits and gravy....

I picked up the decals today so we'll be able to make the wagons real purdy.

Danr, I'm thinking that it'll take more than 20 minutes to get to 16th ST. and Glendale, even on an early Saturday morning. Lets plan on leaving the station at Recker and McDowell at 7:15. That'll give us time to bail the rain water out of our foot boxes...

First, it won't be. Second, I'll probably drive my cobra anyway. Can't hurt it, it's plastic.
Been through MANY rains. Creates stories and memories.

Charlie said he's bringing a truck for the wagons and it has a back seat for extra toys. I think we can load most of the toys into cars unless everyone brings a guest. All the toys fit inside my Jeep Grand Cherokee when I brought them back from Dennis's. If there is anything we can't take, I'll take them down with my load the following Friday, if that meets with everyone's approval. Try to be at my office by 8:00am if Bob and I need to be down there by 8:45am so I can get things locked up before we go. See everyone Saturday.

If you insist Karl.. 7:15 at Recker and McKellips it is. Will that give us time to attach decals to wagons? Since Charlie will have the majority of the wagons, is he going to meet us at the Doc's office? Maybe, after the cluster... gathering, we should plan of breakfast somewhere as a group.. Whatchathink?

Dave, point of reference...look for the large wet spot in the middle of the desert. If you see it, you're over Utah..

Default Time Change

Bruce and I are requested to be down at the PCH at 8:30am for interview setup. Here is the request I just received:

If you and Bruce can plan to arrive perhaps around 830, we’ll get you into the donation site, parked and ready to talk with Matt Pace before the 845 live shot. As you can imagine with live TV, every minute counts hence my strange time requests!

So, Dan S. & Karl, would you guys see to gathering, organizing, etc of the group for 8:45 entrance at the PCH circle? We will only be a phone call away and can let you know particulars as they arise. Bruce and I will be in his office parking lot by 8am.

I'll go buy some RainX today. That'll ensure that it won't rain. I'd researched and found that Lemon Pledge worked the same on Lexan windshields and since that's what the Pimp-Ho-Gold car had, I used it before the Coronado Trail run, last September. We all know how that worked out. Didn't get rained on, at all.
