Invitation
We've been invited to display our cars outside of the Calvin Charles Gallery in Old Scottsdale on January 15 from 6 to 9 PM. They will be holding a charity auction of Shelby art, merchandise and memorabilia, some signed by Carroll Sbelby. Due to limited space, we need 12 cars who will commit to staying from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM on a Thursday night. There may be room for more cars but only the first 12 to sign up are guaranteed parking. Since Bob Broberg and I have already signed up, we have 10 openings Cobras, Daytonas, GT 350 and 500's.. Who's next? Oh.. there will be food and drinks at the gallery..

Some of you who have been to my home have seen this rendering by Danny Day. It's signed by Shelby, Phil Hill and Dan Gurney.. Quite a piece.. Oh, and Dave, don't get flustered. All you have to do is add your name here and the first 9 more who sign up will have first call. There is a possibility that they can secure parking for additional cars but they are counting on 12 initially.

Count me in if I get my car back in time from the shop. It had to get towed Monday as I have developed a mystery fuel leak I cant seem to find back from one of the lines. I will know more probably by Monday or Tuesday

Something about $10/gallon 110 octane and not wanting to ignite my car on fire:) that would almost as bad as wrecking my car down into the weeds.... Wait that is for Chevy powered Cobra's:) it is in good hands and hope to get back on the road some soon.
I am not the master mechanic most of you guys are and I could find the source without taking the wheel/tire, drop the tank etc to get to all the lines. With the cobra out of the garage I plan to spend some time this weekend working on getting my 69 triumph gt6 running again. It hasn't been for 6 months Ron |
