No No No! Not that "BJ".
The local Ford dealers are giving away tickets to this year's Barret Jackson auction, in Scottsdale. The tickets are good for Monday-Friday, and then again Sunday. The catch is that you have to take a test drive in a new Ford vehicle, and of course listen to their hard sell. I, being the cheap-rooster-fish that I am, and also can somehow manage to find the time, will do it. I've been thinking it may be time to move on from my '89 GMC and their new aluminum bodied trucks sound interesting. I'll be sure to find out if they do still have tickets before submitting myself to their spiel.

Funny. That's the same thing that Bob said!

Speaking of Barrett-Jackson, who is going and what day(s) will you go?. I will use my Handycap tag for the parking preference. I will take the Cobra as well.
Scotty, Bob B, Don M., etc. We should go as a group...Don M should go and maybe sell his Bumble Bee on the side. Let me know what you all decide.

I'll be there the whole auction week going to most of the auctions a time or two. Could we plan on meeting up something like Wednesday noon at Hillbank / Shelby outside display? I'm flexible, except Friday and Saturday when I go to Gooding Auction (the best and most fun auction , I think). If someone needs a easy, free, close place to park at BJ, I can tell you the "secret place". Jim

Jim, I might be able to make it Wednesday, but it would be later than noon. I volunteer at a hospital Wednesday mornings but I could probably get there 1-ish. My cell is 480-320-8296 if you want to give me a call after you get into town.

Thanks Karl for the free tickets reminder from Ford. I went to my local ford dealer "Peoria Ford" and told them I wanted free B-J tickets so what can I drive? They gave me a ticket. Then I said if I come back tomorrow with my cobra can I have more? The reply was yes. So, I went back Sunday and gave them a burnout demo in their parking lot and came home with 2 more. Each ticket is good for 1 entry for 2 people.
Go visit your Ford dealer.

I went to two Ford dealers today, and both were out of the freebie tickets. Maybe they could have found some if I'd bought a truck? There are bunches of them for sale on craigslist, all with Ford clearly printed on them. No wonder the dealers are out of them....

I did get to drive a '15 F150 with the ecotech 3.5l. Very impressive but without the more comfortable ride of the GM offerings.

I had the same experience today as Karl had - but maybe a different Ford dealer - I went to the Peoria Ford dealer and was told they were out of tickets - might check later this week if I get some time
