Just a few too many things going on to do it this time. Having to pass on a Ford GT group event (sans car) this weekend too. Maybe next year I'll be a little more retired than I am right now.

Getting Close
We have received my new glass windshield and have scheduled next Wednesday, April 29th for installation. Close call but all should be well by Thursday so I can load the car for Rte 66 Friday. I'll just go through my secret 125 item list.

Just to clarify boys, the run I'd like to do Saturday morning is on route 66 from Kingman to Seligman, the opposite direction than the Fun Run. Hopefully no lines or waiting. Maybe breakfast in Seligman.

I did I-40 this past weekend and there was a fair amount of construction between Kingman & Flagstaff, some pretty ruff sections in the low speed lanes east bound also.
May be tuff on windshields this trip.

Al, there's a Dairy Queen in Kingman, on Stockton Hill Road just south of I-40. Just so you know.

Sorry we are going to miss out on the fun this coming weekend. Our new house may close early and we have to be in town. Have fun everyone and be safe.

Dan,
Was I-40 bad between Kingman and Seligman ?

If I40 is torn up we can always take the old.road a day early and avoid the crowd.

I was going to take the old road anyway. Freeways don't do it for me, unless I'm in a hurry. Did 880 miles last weekend over and back to the FFR Huntington Beach car show. (they've allowed non-FFRs for a couple years). That was at least 860 miles of freeway and that's enough for a while. BTW that is one heck of a nice show. Probably at least 100-130 Cobras. Many uber cool, some, not so much. I was the only Weber equiped car there and got lots of attention.

Not bad but there were a few sections where all traffic has to switch from west bound side to east bound side and the speed limit really drops.
The only really ruff sections were in the low speed lanes from all the semi trucks I guess.
It starts where we join the i-40 from Prescott what ever road that is.

Thanks Dan, that's probably a good idea to take the Route 66 road from Seligman instead of that bumpy, broken I-40 for 70 miles on Friday.
Bruce & JoAnn, so sorry to hear you will miss the trip. I know you enjoyed this one.
Hope your reason comes through.

Bro,
Could you post the new suggested route for all to see ?

Darn Bruce, I was looking forward to seeing you and JoAnn and that cute little motor.. You will be missed.
Scotty, Don't need to post the new route. You turn west in Seligman and keep going. As long as you stay on the road, you'll be going the right way.

Bruce, I hope your house closing works out well for you.
I wish you were going, we could have had some fun on the way.
I probably would have had to give you the jump every time to keep you hoping.:D:D:D
