Yeah, right. Just like the 05=06 was from a truck.

The 3.5L turbo is the second generation of the engine that is now running in the Tudor class Daytona Prototype (DP) race cars.

The displacement chise is because of the FIA rules. GTE class can have a max 5L naturally aspirated or 4L turbo/superchared. The physics will instantly tell you that the right choice is the turbo engine. 3.5LTurbo (HP, TQ) >> 5.0L naturally aspirated. This is already old news.

The new Ford GT is designed as a race car, it is built around the engine. The street cars are part of the homologation requirement and we are really sorry if they aren't so comfortable.

So the flat plane v8 is too big, is it bigger than the Vette engine, that Vette is a Lemans champion over and over...

Same ecoboost engine from the Taurus, same displacement same turbo idea, of course its a different engine, its their race engine, but it is the same kinda...the 05-06 Datona cars had a DOHC 5.0 cammer, no ford truck has that, not the DOHC...not even the mustang, it was a 3 valve in those years and the DOHC in the mustang was a 4.6 not a 5.0...
