Default She's BAAAAACK

Mesa Mike took me over to Vintage Iron, nice and early this morning, and I picked up my car. They had found that without a throttle stop, I'd pushed the accelerator past center on the linkage so it held the butterflies open enough to raise hell. (must have happened when I had several spasmodic right leg cramps that made my foot try to go through the fire wall" Anyway, all fixed and running great. I have nothing but good things to say about Mark and his crew at Vintage. 'taint cheap, but quality work and definitely stand behind it. Mark even came to the shop early Sunday morning to get my car inside rather than leave it parked outside. Great customer service!

Great to hear you are back on the road again. Sorry you and Mike missed the drive to breakfast on Sunday.

Glad it is finally fixed and all the gremlins have been chased away. You may need to apply copious amounts of the loud pedal to verify the repair is good. Then repeat as necessary.

Vintage Iron is good. Some of the best techs around.
Always get a number because if they go over it Mark is always willing to negotiate.

GOD you must have a heavy foot? Did you have that lead hammer in your pocket?

65:
"Does Vintage Iron techs know as much as Jeff Classics, I doubt it..."
I have no idea if they know more than Jeff, but I think they probably know different stuff. Both are excellent!

Ratti-Tat-Tat:
"You need a throttle stop on a 289?"
I just keep trying to make it go fast. (it does run real well, I'm very happy with it. Its surely 'way more than enough to get me into big trouble. It just doesn't have that "holysheet, world's coming to an end" that my old RAT Motor did)

Yo Dennis:
"GOD you must have a heavy foot? Did you have that lead hammer in your pocket?"
I'm telling you, IT WAS A LEG CRAMP! repeatedly...
