Default Fountain Hills Concours Saturday 01/13

This coming Saturday there will be SO many high dollar mighty fine cars on display at the fountain park, in fountain Hills. Hard to believe there are so many Ferraris hiding in people's garages. Bunches of Maseratis, Lambos, Porches, Vettes, on and on. Free admission and usually a beautiful day on the grass. I'm not in the show, but will drive my Cobra just to rouse the rabble.

Default Fountain Hills CORRECT date: 02/13/16

Thanks to Bob L. for getting me to pull my head out of my arse. This coming Saturday, 02/13. Sometimes, I'm just a good candidate for a PLASTETOMEY.

I went with my son last year, it was an awesome show. I might try this year, I'm in CA. On a side note, I am about a half an hour from Laguna Seca, I am gonna try to go over tomorrow.

OK Karlos, just to support you I've changed the date for the cruise to Yarnell and Prescott from 2/13 to 2/20. We will be at Fountaintucky to support you and your cute little cobra. Hey Bruce, did you catch that? My truck motor car and I are going to support Karl's idea..

I'll be there, but riding the Mad Kaw down (2001 Kawasaki ZRX1200R tuned up a smidge). MVD wants to do a Level 1 (I think I got that right) inspection prior to titling and we can't schedule a meet until next week.

Limey,

Make sure they title it as a 1965. They have a book and title our cars by the year they represent. If they give you a hard time ask to see a supervisor. Which registry are you going to?

Ok, I think I finally got it right, going to Fountain Hills Saturday ( aint gonna enter the Cobra, it wouldn't win a booby prize in its current state) and Payson run on the 20th! Good thing Scott set me straight LOL.

I think you may still be off by a bit.
Isn't Saturday the 20th Yarnell/Prescott?
Or are you and Scotty doing some private trip?

Karl....what time are you leaving for the show? Come on by and I will go with you. Putting the finishing touches on the engine today/tomorrow. Just need to fill up the rad and burp it a couple of times. That is, if it all doesn't leak out first.

I think they are doing something private!

I was just reminded that I had promised to support a car show at Apache Junction High School that supports the ROTC program and Wounded Warriors. As much as I would enjoy hanging out with your ladies, support of any kind for Troops, be they future or former, takes a higher place right now. After listening to Bernie and the ***** last night, I think the troops will need all the support they can get.

You all have fun at the Fountain...

I'm going to roll my car out of the garage, wash and wax it, take a picture, and then roll it back into the garage... You know, the way a REAL Hot-rodder does it.

Actually, I'm going to change some fluids, chase down a couple small leaks, and decide once and for all whether I want to paint my side-pipes black, or leave them silver (opinions are welcome)

and after all that, maybe I actually will wash it (or at least scrape the bugs from that Eloy trip off the windshield )

Robert, once you go black, you never go back. Get some BBQ paint at Home Depot. Works good and is plenty reasonable. I'd scuff up your silver paint with coarse sand paper or steel wool, wash down with lacquer thinner or brake cleaner, and give several light coats. Also, you can spray the remaining paint into an old sock and huff away a few million brain cells, so I've heard.

I might not have enough brain cells to spare for that last part of your suggestion...

But the rest is good advice
