Figured GFOG would have an opinion. Rightfully so.

Can't say what others have experienced or not with Charlie, but I know he's worked on my car several times and has always done exactly what he said he would and the price was always what was quoted or less. I've never had an issue with him. So I am on Mikie's side. Jeff and Charlie would be my calls. Either or. Seems like Charlie at Brown Custom is closer to the area you're asking about and he will come and get your car if necessary. They do their own towing.

No- I already told the new guy what I thought about his alternator issue (halfway down page one in this thread)...

But, Since I've never met Jeff, and since I only met Charlie briefly at a Scottsdale Cars and Coffee last year; and since I VERY rarely pay other people to work on my cars, I truly don't have anything of value to add to "section B" of this entertaining conversation...

Still... The popcorn was appreciated. Now, could you please pass the salt?

I'm guessing your issue was more with John at Anthem motors. They are out of business,

I never trusted John but fully trust Charlie and yes, I had Charlie do some work on my car.

Quit guessing and if you want the facts I have those. Like I said you take it for what you will. John Charlie and I all know what went down.

My last comment. I do not needs facts... Your claim was against Anthem motors not Charlie. Plain and simple.

Nuff said.

Back to the original purpose of this thread.

No. My claim is against Charlie. Plain and simple he knew exactly what John was doing yet continued to scam me out of thousands. Ask him about my $1800 intake he never produced yet he still received payment on it. Weather he has taken care of you or not. He screwed me over along with John. He knew everything that was going on then they closed up shop and never finished my car after they were payed. Do you really believe he had no idea. I did not even deal with John on the build he had Charlie handle it all. You weren't there so please stop making assumptions. It only makes you look like an ass.

There was a Shelby dealer in AZ who screwed people out of thousands from wickenburg. He never did me wrong but I'm not going to argue with the ones he did because I was not there when there experiences happened just like you were not there when mine did. You can praise Charlie all you want. I had a different experience with him.

Mr fordracing65, why do you not sign your name? Just curious.
It's easy to complain when you are anonymous.

I met all you at the Kirkham open house. I'm not hiding behind anything but the facts.

It's beginning to sound like sourgrapes. Was the case adjudicated? Did you win?

Well that was a lot of fun reading on this Friday the 13th.
When you get ripped off you are pissed.

I would recommend the Bob Reams for carb and injection system. Anything to do with fuel systems but he is very good on other stuff as well. great Garage set up over on Northwest side of Phoenix. Use to own B & R Automotive around Greenway and I-17, Good guy.

Mike Franzen at 3A over at 15th Ave and Hatcher. Mike has taken care of both cobras since he worked over at B and R plus he is friends with Bob Reams. He is certified in several areas. Plus their shop follows up with you on every service.

Of course there is Gordon Levy but he is on the South side in Maricopa. Built both my cars. Great at setting up a car; painting booth and over all car and engine build. He just repainted my noise and I am having him do some more stuff as well. No comments Karl.....

I have used Charlie as well. My friend used him for about $5,000 on his 66 Mustang along with Levy and he is happy.

Of course Vettestr is well known and I have never heard 1 complaint about him. He builds cobras as well.

FYI - I too had a issue with John as well over at Anthem. Only happened 1 time and never went back. Don't remember Charlie even being there at that time.

Just my 2 cents. I have had 2 cobras too. Then again I am anal when it comes to mechanic stuff and if I am taking my wife riding with me I want to anticipate every freaking thing on these cars coming loose. It is their nature.. Of course I let her start it once and it was in reverse gear and she flipped over the windshield. Cost me big to have the windshield and hood repaired ...

Charlie sorted out the issues and did a great job for me! I am on the road and the car is running great. There wee no big problems just normal sorting out but Charlie got it all fixed quickly and correctly.
