Default Luke AFB Car Show September 17th

I have signed up for a car show in the parking lot by the BX out at Luke AFB. I know this is the day of the Penske C&C but I promised some of my Mustang guys to join them at this show. You are all welcome but must call in and sign up by Sept 1st so I am told. I know it says August 26th on the flyer, but when you call in you just leave a message. You'll be assigned a car class. Just trying to keep busy when the California Dreaming group is gone. I am planning on bringing the cobra.

Still makes no sense to me why people who bring their cars have to pay while people who come to see the cars get in for free....."splain me Lucy!"

Makes perfect sense to me. Those providing the "entertainment" get to pay for those receiving. I think it a "demon-cratic" thing.

I agree Danr55! Unless it's for a good cause/charity, I don't understand it either, and I refuse to participate. I'd rather spend the $ on fuel and have fun driving the car instead of paying to see a bunch of cars with their hoods propped open with "don't touch" signs and fake dogs peeing on tires.

It's pretty pricy too $15.00. Why don't DanR and Mikiec put a car show together and don't charge either the car owners or the spectators. It would be a first.

Sounds like a good show. I would be there but will be cruising Lake Tahoe that weekend. $15 seems like a very fair price for entrance to a car show. However, the same guys always have to add negative comments instead of just not going.

If I put on such a show would you attend?

OK, Wed night at the Tilton diner I'll be there.

The public and service families were on my side. Gave lots of parents a chance to take photos of their kid in the driver's seat of a cobra.
Here is the display. You can't see my red-eyed, silver cobra shift handle that the kids and wives love so much.

Here's a photo of the trophy plaque. Karl will love the Chevy photo.

I did my part.

We could do the dinner cruise out of Weirs Beach, or go to the drive-in. Bring your skeeter repellent! There's an idea: Get one of the drive-ins to do a retro show of Gumball Rally and get a bunch of Cobra's to attend.
