That brings back memories. We used to practically live at the Boardwalk every summer.

Talk about memories, I was hoping to see at least a partial reprise of scenes from the TV show "Then Came Bronson." [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnPIOH8bCfk[/ame]

Cobra looks really ugly cover in sleet. We made it to The in spite of temps in the thirties and rain sleet and ice. The pics are ugly. Scotty, Karl and I are hiding upstairs trying to shake the chill. My wife is still working and Al and Patti have gone for food. More to follow. Never thought I would miss the weather in Arizona. The view from the Cobra.

By shake the chill - you mean single malt?

Hey Dan - if it makes you feel any better about Arizona -vs- Cali, I just had to have the fire department come and remove a rattlesnake from my garage. My wife says "Only one snake allowed in the garage".

Fire dept? A stick and a bucket are all I need. Albeit, a long stick.

I much prefer snakes in the corner to sleet storms in the cobra. No comparison.

I am experiencing the opposite condition...

St Louis is 90 degrees, with 46% humidity... Feels just like Phoenix. Yay.

A great place to stay. Gary's nephew Coop's place in Truckee. Coop and his wife Karen provided a great place to stay and were wonderful hosts to our wandering band.

Decoder Ring provided!

What a great trip we had. My GPS clocked 2665 miles. I bought $461.50 of high test, 158.3 gallons @ $2.91 average. I got a wonderful 16MPG. Tiny little engine but all those carbs do like the taste. Lost an alternator but since its just a 65a, 1967 model it cost me only $46 and has a lifetime warranty from Auto Zone. Our run in with a sleet storm in Tahoe was not pleasant but otherwise, I totally enjoyed the 11 days and am looking forward to doing another long road trip next year. This weekend's little 600+-mile jaunt up the Coronado trail, now sounds like a pretty minor cruise. Going to try real hard to keep off the sides of the mountains.

You did real good keeping the car off the side of the mountain Karl. Even when I was trying to go only 60 mph on hwy80. The snow will give us a lot to talk about when we are in Assisted living!!! The run was great. Even coming down 247 I only came in contact with two trucks for the first 60 miles. Waiting for Dan to comment on speeds! Gary

About the only reason we were buzzing along so fast, was so that Danr could get better gas mileage. (he always says it better at 85-90MPH so it should have been real good at 95-105MPH)

Al can tell that to the judge and ask why the Toyota next to him wasn't stopped also.
