Todd, too bad you can't make it. Any chance of doing some trading on your schedule? You haven't been out on a run in a long time. Thinking this one'll be a goodie, and not really very far.

If you can't make the run to Bisbee and want something fun to do, how about exhibiting your car in Gilbert on Saturday November 12th?
Here is the information and application (advance only do to demand)
http://islandscommunity.org/HOA/assn...pplication.pdf
We would love to see a bunch of Cobras in attendance!

Hey Karl...if only. I have been asked to also work overtime the night of the 13th so this is one week I won't be able to switch up. But I'll keep watching and let you know when you set up one that works with my work schedule. Kind of a bummer not being wealthy enough to be retired.
Todd
I guess I should just plan my own run and then let you guys know and see if you want/can join.

YO FITZ-n-Jammer,
I posted all in info in the "Lodging in Sierra Vista" thread several days ago. Sounds like a decent place and the price is certainly good. Glad to hear you're coming along. You probably won't even have to use your air conditioning. maybe the heater. Bringing your sweetie? Even my wife is talking about making the trip. Even Bob deBroberg is going, in his Cobra!
"I booked my single/king room at Sierra Suites, 391 E. Fry Blvd, 85635, 520-459-4221 for Saturday 11/12/16, on BOOKING.COM Their price was much better than even going direct and getting a AAA discount. A whole whopping $65.81, including taxes, free breakfast and free wifi. No cancellation fee. They have a 4 1/2 star rating our of 5, with almost 500 reviews. They have 100 rooms so should not be any problem getting rooms, but I'd suggest locking your room in, just to be sure." If the price has gone up on Booking.com, call them direct and mention the Booking rate and they'll probably match it. They did for Scottie, or someone...

Sitting here still waiting for the new throwout bearing from JEG'S. summit sent me the wrong one last week. Really chaps me. I was very specific with what I needed and it wasn't even close. Won't ever deal with them again.
This is a picture of the old one. Note the missing screws when it blew apart.
Nice thing is it gave me time to put in the sound system I've had sitting around for a while.
If I get her back together in time I wanna make this run.
Hey Karlos, did you confirm with the Hotel if they have those adhesive ducks in the shower or do I have to call them for my own safety?? Don't wanna do that again. Wifey got to drive more than I did.
Mike

Tombstone & Bisbee Attractions
Karl, I still plan on going but I'm going to have to arrange to meet up with you guys in Tombstone and I am taking the Mustang. Age is wearing me down. I simply can't drive the cobra that far without paying for it later. I can save 2 hours drive and 100+ miles if I just take the I-17 to the I-10 to Benson. I drove the cobra to Prescott once and last Saturday to Wickenburg. Had to take a nap when I got home. Just don't have the energy anymore. That's why I bought the GT500. See you guys about 1pm in Tombstone. I love to spend time with you guys, just getting old. Looking forward to parking lot disturbance. I’ll be parked on 3rd,4th or 5th St near the OK Corral space permitting. East Allen St is closed to cars. Call me when you arrive. I’ll hang out at the Visitor Center on 4th St and Allen. I'll expect you guys about 1pm.
Here is a summary for participants:
Tombstone:
Boot Hill Graveyard on Rte 80 about ¾ mile from OK Corral
Gunfighter Hall of Fame at 4th & Toughnut
OK Corral & Historama at 4th St & Allen
Public Parking at 6th St & Toughnut
Toughnut Mine Tour at 5th & Toughnut
I’m told the Copper Queen mine tour at Bisbee is the one to attend perhaps on Sunday? Need reservation and time.
Bisbee:
No official public parking.
Copper Queen Mine Tour at Visitor Center on N Dart Rd
Tour Schedule: 9am, 10:30a, 12noon, 2pm & 3:30pm $13 520-432-2071
Mining & Historical Museum at Copper Queen Plaza on Subway St

Between his little blue pills, driving his cushy JAFM, and the sheep, BobB will be rarin' to go. Scare-y, very scare-y!
BTW, surprised RatBoy isn't calling Bob a "run-buster". tee hee

You all have fun.
An event was planned for me by the wife for Saturday night. And NO, it is not that kind of event, but I will die if I don't go.

BobbyBro,
We'll meet you in the bar. Back then the whiskey drinking no good cowboys rode Mustangs, and shot Cobras in the dry desert ( one of Scotty's myths ) After a few drinks, lets all go to the OK Corral and have a show down !

To Powdercoat Wheels Matte Black Or Not
Interested in what your thoughts are in powdercoating my 289 Fia wheels a matte black color versus the current color? I kind of like the non shiny dirty look of the original magnesium wheels when they became black.
Thoughts?

Just let the brake dust build up on them for a while and you will have the non shiny dirty look of dirty mag wheels.
