As in the past bring a dish to share with 15 people.

It should take care of itself. That's all Ginny and I did.

Well, actually Ginny and I would usually supply a large ham sliced plus all the paper plates and utensils, trash bags, ice, water, maybe a cake and table cloths for the buffet table. Also, chaffing dishes, sterno etc. Everyone else would bring a side dish, dessert or something in a crock pot. usually chili or pulled pork. Joanne, Carolyn and Diana would get everything setup and then tell me what else was needed from the store.

I am not sure what was done since our departure.

Mike

Just a thought and would like feedback of those who wish to hear more. Like Mikie just listed below it takes a lot of effort and it isn't cheap to feed this crew. By the time you consider what Mike and Ginny laid out on top of others bringing a dish that feeds 15 folks you have spent enough to cater a nice lunch.

I called a BBQ joint that I have enjoyed the food from 3 or 4 times just to get an idea of cost. In very round numbers it costs $12 to $15 per head for adult portions of BBQ sandwich, mac & cheese, salad and corn. The place is called Bobby Q's on I17 south of Dunlap. There are of course other places and menus. I spend more to bringing a dish for the gang and have to cook then do dishes. $15 bucks was a high side rough number but without specifics and a head count?

Jeff I think this is a good idea - count me in for (1) person. I think I read elsewhere that we are not going to have access to AC power or be able to cook on site so that limits our options for a traditional potluck. Given that, the idea of a simple catered lunch makes sense to me. Suggest we get a final tally by the 19th and we all pay you 15.00 at the party or in advance. Anyone who says they will attend, does not cancel by the 19th and does not show can send you their money.
