You are correct about departure. If we leave base at 10:30am we should be in Chino Valley at about 11:50am. Judging in downtown Kingman show is only on Saturday. We normally pick up our registration in Seligman on Friday. If you wait until Saturday, you can pick it up in Kingman at the Powerhouse. Here is the posted schedule for the Fun Run: Arizona Route 66 Association or 2017 Route 66 Fun Run and of Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/1837645509816242/

Hi Alan, afraid the stated timing confusion to arrive in CV, is probably due to the old "right hand...left hand" thingy. BobB is probably thinking we'll be leaving the Carefree Hwy/I17 Chevron at 10am and Danr has us leaving at 10:30am.

Glad you're joining us. We'll be in CV on Friday but above, you said you're booked in Kingman for Saturday and Sunday, but I got the impression that you'll be going with us Friday. Confuzzzzd.
Hope you can talk your FFR buddy into coming along too. Can never have too many Cobras!

Sorry about the confusion, my error. I said Sat and Sun, but did book for Friday and Saturday. I corrected my previous posts so as to limit further confusion.

I will be joining you on Friday in CV and submit my show entry to pick up my packet in Seligman.

Thanks,

Alan

Alan, "We won't leave without you.. probably.. "

Don't count on this too much. Danr is notorious for just getting in and going, without regard if everyone is ready to lift off, or not. That being said, he does tend to pull off the side of the road, to wait up for stragglers, OR more likely, to take a squirt.

I just spoke with the Red Roof Inn in Kingman. There are two rooms remaining for the Route 66 Run. If you are going, better reserve your room soon.. These last two rooms will be released on April first.

Stopped there today. Found out that there had been another death in their family. I sure hope they will keep the tradition alive. We ordered shake and malt and were offered a straw (a piece from a little bundle of hay) but people were ordering burgers and noone was asked if they wanted mustard ( a shooting string from aplastic mustard bottle) but the real straws did come early from a bundle

Got this t-shirt

Could be, I just asked if they had what they were wearing. One of them was wearing one I got quite a few years ago, the other this one in white but they also had black.

Watching an episode of Pickers and the subject of RT 66 was foremost. They showed a picture of the Snow Cap. Had to back it up to confirm and sure enough it was the Snow Cap.

We used to be Pickers fanatics (both of us being Iowegians, but my wife is not enamored by it any more, so I have to watch it other times. I'm most of a season behind but noticed the recorder captured another one in the past few days.

I'm going to reserve the room at Calico where we had dinner on Friday last year. I need a count of who is going do dine with the group there, please.....
Here are who I am listing as potential:
Dan and Adriana
Mikie and Ginny
Lyle and Dee
Jim and Carolyn
Gary and Vikki
Karl, Bob Broberg,
Dr. Duc, (Scotty? I don't see your name anywhere on here.)
CarNut, Alan (Are you bringing a guest or girlfriend or wife or??)
Two Guests with an old Chevy.. (Friends of Adriana's)

So there is still one room unaccounted for and I only see one Mike listed. With all the Mikes we have bouncing around, the only one going is Mikie C all the way from Newhaampseh?
