Default Concours in the Hills Entry, Show & Exit

Got this email today for instructions:

Thank you for registering for Concours in the Hills on Saturday, February 11.
Please read the instructions below carefully.
If you have not received your Exhibitor's Number please let us know immediately. Please do not forget to put this number on your dash as this will allow you easy access. If you do not have your number displayed you will encounter delays.
Gates open at 6.30AM but please arrive by 8AM so that you can be parked in your designated brand area. Complimentary coffee and snacks will be available in the First Western Trust tent for those wearing an Exhibitors Pass. Cold drinks are served in the Centurion Jet tent.
To minimize delays at entry we have two entrances on opposite sides of the park and have assigned different brands of vehicle to each to avoid cars having to cross past each other in the park.
All Domestic and Asian Vehicles MUST use Entrance #1 on El Lago.
All Imported Vehicles, Cobras, Off-Road and Military Vehicles MUST use Entrance # 2 on Panorama. Please check on the map below to see which entrance is yours.
Please go straight ONLY to this entrance where our volunteers have your car number. You will not be admitted at the other entrance. Sorry if this sounds harsh but with well over 500 cars coming it is necessary to minimize delays.
Volunteers waving a checkered flag will direct you to your brand’s area and where to park your car.
Please stand by your car and have it warmed up by 9.55AM so that you can rev the engine at 10AM when we open the show with the announcement “Start Your Engines”.
There are three access roads to and from the show:
Palisades, which has some very nice curves and elevation changes.
El Lago, which also has nice curves.
Saguaro has some curves but is the busiest. (Yes I like curves)
Please be careful as while our police in Fountain Hills are really great they will be on the lookout for anyone overdoing it.
We will have double the number of food trucks and triple the washrooms as last year. There are also permanent washrooms located at the south end of the park near the El Lago entrance.
Please DO NOT leave before 3PM as you are putting the whole show in jeopardy. Cars will leave starting with those closest to the exits and working in again to speed up the exit process.
If you would like to stay longer you are welcome to but must leave by 5 PM.
I hope you have a great day.
Peter

Well, not all, unless my entry has been revoked.

Good thing that BOB posted, then. Peter told me he'd sent it to all entrants.

I'll ask Joe to blast it out.

Anyone who did not receive this in a separate email and has not received their entrance document with entry number, should contact the event committee and verify their registration.

I got my entry number and packet, but did not get the notification. Maybe they just screwed up my email address.

Default I'm Screwed

Well, eventually the time comes to need a new clutch. Unfortunately, now is the time for my cobra. Just got the news. Barely made it home Saturday. Have to pull the motor to change the clutch. Stock bell housing so no fancy twin disc setup. I will have to bring my JAFM to the Concours Show. No choice here. Looking at $2500+expense too. Bummer! No time frame yet.
Only good news today is our south roof doesn't need replacing before we install Solar. Saved $4K but just spent $2.5K. Ouch! Wife not happy. Me neither.

Just old age. 17 years and 65K miles on original clutch.
There's a void in my garage and in my heart like when your dog is sick and at the Vet's.

Will there be any effort to organize the cars beyond the encirclement? For example, place cars in red, white, and blue sets, or organize by manufacturer... First come, first served sounds easiest to me.

I would guess that for the purposes of this event, they are all cobras. Manuglgacturer should be illrelevant. They may wish to segregate the wrapped cars however.

I would advise segregating them to protect other owner's eye sight from the glare and their skin from the reflected gamma rays.

I let Peter know of my cobra problems and he has instructed me to join the other Mustangs at Gate #1. I'll come visit you guys.
New twin disc McLeod clutch setup coming and now my water pump needs replacing. When it rains, it pours. Up to $3500. Pool pump housing started leaking last night and electric panel on house needs re-mounting for code. More $$$$

You're just jealous because I get a nice George Hamilton tan while I drive.

Don't Hamilton and Trump use the same shade of orange for tanning?
