Maybe partial to orange but smart enough to know that Cobras do very poorly when used for mountain climbing up a cliff or off roading..

What about this one...?

If Karlos had been driving this bad-boy, he could have just kept right on going upward...

Gotta tell ya...I often thought about dropping a Cobra body on an old IH Scout or Ford Bronco chassis...or some other 4WD that would come close to the Cobra's wheelbase...but I never thought it would look THAT GOOD!!!

Cheers!

What a beaut. Looks like a high riser in there (that's how they did the hood "back in the day" when they put a HR in 'em). Like the brush buster bumper too. All it needs is a giant whip antenna.

You cute tiny motorguys are tough. Really tough. I didnt say that the origial cars had Borla exhaust. I said Borla created the original sound. Which they have.

Danr, whatcha first said:
"Note that the real Cobra sound is due to the Borla exhaust more than anything else."
Now this:
"I didnt say that the origial cars had Borla exhaust. I said Borla created the original sound. Which they have."

I've heard lotsa Corvettes, Mustangs, and such with Borla, and to my deeeef ears, they don't sound anywhere at all like a BBF Cobra.
You're just trying to confuze this geezer, and you've done a good job!

They are also known for getting past by there own rear wheel when the safety wire not only fails but also disappears.

OK Ms. Bebout, my grammar was poor and my writing was even poorer.. The idea intened to convey was that Alex Borla was largely responsible for the sound of the initial BB Cobra exhaust. That sound is most closely duplicated by the current Borla Performance exhaust system..which I just found out is no longer in manufacture. So scrap the entire idea and do what feels or sounds good.

Yeppers, that certainly was a good deal more excitement than I wanted. I've never understood how I managed to wire the other three wheels and miss that one, but I obviously did. I don't remember seeing the broken wire on either the spinner or the wheel. Absolutely my fault. Operator error.

Karl you had a wheel fall off and pass you? Man...I bet that was interesting!

A little too much excitment! I certainly lucked out though. No body damage, the hub is very thick aluminum that had a flat spot on the bottom "milled" off. Broke the trunk pan but since its fiberglass, I just "glued" it back together. Did wrinkle some of the trunk aluminum panels but was able to straighten all but one and I got a replacement from ERA. Certainly coulda been much worse. I'd been hitting the rumble strips pretty hard but was down to only 35-40 MPH when the wheel came off. Glad the wheel didn't hit anyone or anything on its 1000'+ journey. It finally hit the fence and the track guys chased it down with their truck. Put the wheel back on and drove back to the pits. People were not pleased to have the track slowed down for a while. ha

You may wish to check your spelling. I doubt you want Karl to have anything to diss you for.

Karl who? Oh, him. No matter. He'll find something to shoot at me for. He always does... that button is flat by now.

Ah you were on the track- ok well that at least helps things a bit! A video of your reaction when your own tire passed you would certainly be priceless!

Note to self....remember safety wire.....
