I got a e-mail:

Hello All,

My uncle, Bob McLinden had passed away on Monday, June 19th, and I wanted to reach out to you all to let you know. We found your email address in an 2012 email that he was part of regarding the Cobra Club so we thought it would be appropriate to try to reach out in case anyone was in contact with him recently.

If you knew Bob, you know he was a real stand-up guy and had a passion for cars and aviation. Some of my best memories of him was when he took me to the National Air and Space Museum at the Smithsonian and basically schooled me on everything we saw.

Bob's wife, my aunt Jade, will likely be moving to a smaller house in the near future and she asked me to reach out to all of you to not only to let you know of Bob's passing, but also to see if anyone could recommend an honest appraisal service in the Phoenix area so that she can arrange for Bob's Cobra and 06' Porsche Cayman S be given a fair price for sale. While she would love to honor Bob and take care of these vehicles herself, she just doesn't have the knowledge or capacity to do so and will likely be selling them in the near future. Thanks very much and please feel free to reach out.

Best Regards,

Chris Brackett

I am very sad to hear Bob passed away and will miss our talks. The last evening I was with Grumpy was at P. Murphy's . He took a header in the parking lot just a few weeks before, we laughed about it. Bob will be missed and will leave this thread to have a few good thoughts. Rest in Peace Mr. Robert McLinden.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's death. Grumpy will be remembered always.
As far as appraisal goes, our member Bill Godwin is an appraiser. Here is his email: bil5s386@juno.com I have his phone number also I can send to Chris or Jade if I have a source. Bill even lives near Jade's home area.

I really liked Bob aka Grumpy. He first showed up at out run to the Heart attack grill.

Bob, you will be missed.

I posted this on the Capital Area club. That's where Grumpy came to us from.

I always got a kick out of Bob's dry sense of humor. I'll miss him.
