Default 2018 new years day run

Wazzup? I haven't seen anyone take the reins to set up a NYD run?

I'll still be in Jacksonville so SOMEBODY should step up, declare the route and time and git er done. Don't make the mistake of asking for suggestions. If more than one place is mentioned, SOMEBODY will get confuzed. ( probably drives an orange car, IF it's running)
If, by chance, it should get rained out, I'll be all over going on the rain date.

Gary posted a thread on this back on 12/13 in the All Cobra Talk section. Yarnell run. You replied to the thread Karl!

Karl is getting forgetful. He is on flat land and is losing track of time and space. I have been waiting on weather predictions for run route. Any suggestions other than Yarnell. Maybe toward Tucson to get some of there participation. Gary

I'd remembered the post and remembered responding but after looking back over a month's worth of posts, didn't see anything on the subject. SO, I thought it must have been on FB.
Excuses, excuses! Any way, we're coming home 01/03.

A loop down around San Manuel/Tucson would bee good too and maybe warmer. Your call Gary!

Looking at the weather forecast and the predicted temps, speaking for those purists without tops, side curtains, heaters, and other cheating devices, it would seem that a run south around noon time would be much more comfortable than an early morning or even late morning or mid day run over Yarnell. Since we are only about 50% available depending on the party the night before, i will not participate further in the decision process this year. To quote a line from some movie, "Choose wisely my friend."

Lets do the San Manuel area run. Warmer for sure. I remember Yarnell freezing and one year tee shirt all the way to Prescott. Should be nice and warmer towards Tucson. Late morning start good with me. Gary

Gary I am thinking we meet up at the Chevron on Idaho road and US60 at 10:30. East on 60 to Superior, then south on 177 to Winkleman, 77 down to Oracle Junction, then back up 79 to the 60.

I just spoke with Lupes. Open on the first. He would like to know the head count. I will need a head count by Sunday so I can call ahead for reservations. I came down with a cold or ? feeling better today so we are definitely in for the run. Start the year out the right way

I think it was just last NYD when SOME of us went to Lupe's and they took good care of us. Several folks also came from Tucson. Sorry I'll miss it this year.
