Default July 7th Cars and Coffee

I received this note from Peter Volny, about the upcoming July, Cars and Coffee.

Once again our July feature at Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering (aka Cars & Coffee) will be Red, White & Blue American Cars for Independence Day.

We are looking for 1963-1967 and current Corvettes, Vipers, Cobras, 1963-1970 and current Mustangs, 2005/6 and 2017 Ford GTs, Pontiac GTOs and other iconic American cars in red, white and blue to be placed in the Feature Row. If you have one or know anyone else who does please contact me with details and a pix.

Best regards,

Peter Volny

I know there are NUMEROUS Blue Cobras around, Mesa Dave and Ron Stein have white cars, but for some reason, I'm having a hard time coming up with a red car. Last I heard Dave (?) from Chandler had lunched another engine and our assteamed Orange car is sorta under the weather.

Anyone know a red car, that's street worthy, that would be interested in attending this early morning get together?

Danr, you're talking about record time for fixing a Cobra. Good luck.

Karl, I realize I'm talking record time. I've got Charlie working mechanicals and Joe Perez at AMERICAN TRADITIONS working the body work and paint. They are saying about thee or four weeks. I am just echoing what they say.

Just went and looked at the car. Talked with Joe Perez and he says it looks more like the s come or third week of July.

Karl & Dan, I just spoke with Rob (rbmoore) tonight about our "Club Cobra" badge we are having made. He said you guy's are the "Mover's & Shaker's" down there about getting the word out, to your guy's. If you go to "The Cobra Club" grill badge post, you will see our progress. I'm ordering the go ahead tomorrow. PM me or ask Rob, for my Phone# and we'll see about getting enough for you guy's on the first order. I have at least all 10 of mine sold already (most are buying 2, one for the car, the other for their collection) , and may take 20 of the first 40. Cheers Tom.

Tom, looks very good.
What will be the per unit price, after your initial order and what is the diameter? Will the colors be individual choice or are you going to have to get a quantity all the same?
I'll post pictures and the issue on our AZ page as well as our FB after I have a little more info. Thanks, K.

Thank you Karl, I will call Dan (He PMed me )later this morning, after I get the spec. from Buzz & The Arnie Brown co. If you went the "Cobra Club" badge you know we have Buzz to thank for the design I'm just the money man, to get the project up & running. Everyone I've talked to will take one to two, I'm hoping we get enough interest to get the first 40 sold by the end of the week. Once Buzz, Arnie Brown co. & I get the answer's we'll put it out on the ALL COBRA TALK post. Cheers Tom. P.S. it look's like around $25-35 per badge Dia. will 3" round. 4-color.

Hey Danr, Its all yers. I'll certainly be good for a couple and I'm thinking that even some of our most "frugal" folks will go for them. I'd suggest a separate post, with pictures and specifics, when they are available.

Go get 'em. I'll be watching from the sidelines.

Jeff, welcome to the madness. Look around the show tomorrow morning for other Cobras. Don't know how many will be showing up. There'll be more in the fall.
Send your eMail address to Paul Gillispie, paul.gillespie@live.com and he will add you to the mailing list for our motley gang.

Where is the coffee at Cars and Coffee? Shouldn't it be Cars and Sweat? It's not very alliterative, but it's more accurate.

Thumbs up July 7th Cars & Coffee

Hey Dave from Mesa...

Email the organizer of Cars & Coffee that is listed @ the beginning of this thread. I know they were looking for a white Cobra to line up with us on July 7th. He told me to be there @ 6:30am, so we can be oriented in a "Red/White/Blue" fashion...

Jeff

Bring this to the top to remind folks that this coming Saturday, 07/07 is the Cars and Coffee show featuring various marques with Red, White, and Blue examples featured. As usual, literally hundreds of high end and just plain SWEET cars will be on display.

The show is just south of the 101, off Scottsdale Rd, west on Mayo. Its is an early show, to beat the toastiness, opening at 6:30am and wrapping up usually by 10am.

Mesa Dave, Honorable Hector, and I will be representing East BumbScrew, with lift off about 5:30, Higley and the 60. Everyone is certainly welcome to join us.

Come on out and feast your eyes.

I'm thinking Peter has that in hand, since I gave him Mesa Dave's eMail.
