Default Sunday, 07/15 Little Drive

AccuWeather calls for rain and thunder-bumpers Sunday night, in both the Phoenix and Prescott area. Soooo, I'm thinking, with the somewhat cooler temps, its time for another little run up through Yarnell to Prescott. Get an early 7am start at the Chevron, Carefree and I17. Drive like hell, have big fun and breakfast in Prescott. Turn tail and head back the way we came. Of course returning on I17 is an option, but not for me. Any interest?

I WANNA DRIVE!

I think I can make that one. Be back by noon so temps shouldn't be to bad.

"Be back by noon so temps shouldn't be to bad."

That's the plan.

I'd like to join you guys. With our record for running into rain storms, questionable ! I get back to Phoenix Saturday. Will check in with you then.

Accuweather has backed off on tomorrow's forecasted rain. None in the valley and none in the Prescott area until afternoon. We should be well on the way home before they hit.
So, yes, I WANNA DRIVE!

Keith, Scottie, and I took a nice drive up to Yarnell. Had breakfast at the Ranch House and made our escape before the forecasted rain came. Fitz eMailed (or texted) me and I let him know what we did. I was not aware that he was planning on meeting us so I didn't let him know that we left i17 ten minutes early.

Nice run. We avoided the speed traps ! The boys are all smiles after breakfast. Karl wasn't hungry, yet had a big bowl of oatmeal, and one of those huge cinnamon rolls ! That guy can eat !!

Some sunshine would have made for better pictures and a better drive. Missed out on the drive to Prescott, the back way.
