A very sad experience
We went down this morning to Idaho road in the 60 and watched can cobras and to JAFMS leave for the Coronado trail run this morning. It was a very sad experience. Since my car wasn't ready we didn't go. My car will be ready in a couple of weeks and we will take it for a Shakedown Cruise, then we are going to do the Coronado trail run again. Anyone who would care to join in is welcome.

I feel for you Brother. But yours will still be done before mine, at this rate. I went up yesterday to see mine in the shop, and patted her fender, and whispered "Soon you will be on the road". Cheers Tom.

That sounds like sexual harassment to me.

Quit yer cryin’ Dan! Soon you are going to have a like new Cobra and be back on the road and besides you have been on the Coronado run before and that’s more than 99 pct of the folks out there will ever be able to say.
Let me know what you want to do for the shakedown run and I will go along. I can’t make the trail run with my schedule.

Yes I've been on the run before. Matter of fact I organized the first one. That does not make it any less painful to miss out on the second biggest run of the year. I missed Route 66, and now Coronado Trail. I guess it's all okay because I'll be doing it again in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know Mike.

Dan,
Too bad you couldn't make the Coronado Trail trip. One of the warmer trips-57 degrees was the low at Hannagan Meadows. But very warm over and back (100 plus). Scotty had some temporary throttle cable problems that he seems to have resolved as he went zipping out after lunch. Karl was attacked by a vicious rock that cut the sidewall of his RF tire resulting in the need for a tow truck. Too big of an hole to patch. Those of us that stayed at the Lodge enjoyed early drinking and a very relaxing evening in the pines. Too bad more people didn't stay there-almost too quiet to sleep well! You will want to be careful with your new paint job as they are rerouting the road through the mine and there is some rocky areas- possible paint chipping. Bruce

Gee Doc .....sounds like I missed another good one. Well, after I get the car back and have a chance to give it a good shake down, Adriana and I will make the run. If anyone wants to ride along they will be more than welcome. After it cools off a bit. Should be a good trip.
On a different note, it is beginning to look like Karl should stay home and avoid this run forever. He just doesn't seem to have any luck with this road.
