Default Ajo Car Show

As some of you know, Adriana has strong ties to Ajo Arizona. They are doing a car show on October 20 as part of their Red and White Weekend celebration. Adriana and I plan to attend with our brand new old car. If anyone else would like to attend, you are welcome. I suggest that we meet at the Space Age Cafe in Gila Bend for a departure at 8:15. The drive from there to Ajo is about 40 minutes and registration if from 7:30 until 9:00. There is a $15.00 donation to the Ajo Volunteer Fire Department to show. Adriana and I did this show a couple of years ago. The thing I remember the most was the excellent food that was everywhere. If you decide you want to go, drop a note here so we know who we are looking for on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Anyone who wants to go, we are leaving the Standard station at Wild Horse Pass at 6:30. Will pick Ralphie up in Maricopa and continue on to Gila Bend and Ajo.

Another option I believe Dan mentioned was the space age lodge in Gila Bend for a meet and then Ajo

Yes, but it sounds like the group is going through Maricopa to pick up Ralphie now.

Jim has been known to no show, so I or we will meet you by Wild House Pass ready to roll at 6:30. I’ll get a few extra miles in. Vikki has my number, if you need to reach me.

It was a great run. I slowed just in time to avoid the bull. Original cars and customs. small but really nice cars and bikes. Enjoyed everyone"s company. Good food. My son ate six tacos. Border patrol people wanted a demo of acceleration, they got it! Thanks Dan. Shake down run was successful I"m sure.

So, did Danr give an acceleration demo by making a Uturn and then hitting the gas, before he got straightened out.....again?

Had a good time with all of you. It was good to get the car out on a trip.
Gary left early, but the rest of the group got passed by a Nissan Ultima on the way back to Gila Bend. LOL
