RT 66 Soap Box
The US House of Representatives has passed bill S.3609 declaring RT 66 a National Historic Trail, opening it up to receive Federal Funds to maintain and improve "The Mother Road". Please badger your US Senators to pass the bill presented to them, by the House, to get the bill passed in 2018. After the first of the year, it would have to be redrafted and start the process again. Beside the historic importance of RT 66, the bill would certainly help those towns that have been bumped to the curb by the interstate highways.
Many AZ Cobras enjoy and have benefited from RT 66 and urging our Senators can help us continue to do so.
