Not for me. I suppose SPF didn't like that BDR was taking some of their market share in this segment so they are now offering their own.

When I was at Barrett Jackson Hillbank booth the guys there said they were going to be doing some non-traditional Cobras. The "old guys" want them to look like they did in the 60's, but the new younger crowd instead of turning away from the Cobra altogether are still interested in it but want it a little more dressed up. The interiors of some new ones being sold are not what we are used to.

I'm thinking that Tommy Rot would greatly prefer something that's always in the shop, due to breakage. Oh, wait, he already has TWO of those..

Why mess with something that has lasted this long because of the perfection of the product and the classic design? That would be like rewriting the Illiad to incorporate the Iatollah.

Well I may be old but I say cool. That said I do understand what others are saying. Spend more on suspension and such that is where it is at . I"m just saying that is what would put you out in front of the others.

Looks like a bolt/glue on kit that Pep Boys might sell to customers that don't like the looks of their current ride but think this might help.

Gawd no (do face palm here).
The Cobra has classic and timeless body lines. Leave it alone.
Looks like something Chrysler engineers would do over their lunch hour.

If you're going through all that trouble for aerodynamics then
just get a Daytona or GT40.

We are all in the geezer class of owners! We remember what these cars looked like when they first appeared and like a first lover (for some of us) you never get over her.

The younger crowd that was not even alive when these cars burst upon the automotive scene and wasted every challenger in sight, does not have that same love affair. I think there is a market space for both and each will enhance the value of the other.

My preference is the original look, but the new look is not offensive — it is just not preferred (for me). I think they did it tastefully and in a fashion that will address a portion of the market they did not previously reach. I don't look at it as a replacement as much as I look at it as an expansion of the franchise.
