Is it one of the ROKR puzzles? I kept getting ads from them on one of my games and they looked pretty cool. later I found them on Amazon.

Aliedog, you shoulda had Patti put it together for you. She'da had it done in 45 minutes. Didja make is so it's easy to change the tranny since you like to do that as often as possible.
See you Saturday. Weather forecast has reduced to a 2% change of rain Yaaaaa

Hi gents,
If allowed my wife and I would love to join. This would be my 1st group drive. I am located in Cave Creek and wondering if anyone would have a map showing the route so I can be prepared.
Regards,
Dino

Karl will probably post a map. Superior, Kearny and the Lupe's in Oracle. Can get a little cold because of slight rise in altitude. Not bad though. Look forward to meeting. Quite a few wives on this trip also.

I am in for sure since the weather is looking much better.
I have asked a friend to join, he has a mid 60 Fairlane with over 700 hp. He should be able to keep up. At least it is a Ford.

Dino, glad to have you join in the madness. I'm not capable of posting a map but I did call out all the different route numbers in the beginning of this thread. There is only one traffic light once we get through Gold Canyon and that's at Winkleman so it should not be difficult to keep the group pretty well together. We'll stop at the big Circle K in Superior for those that need to gas up or make a plumbing inspection. Being the cheap rooster fish that I am, I'd recommend getting gas there rather than get raped at the Chevron on Idaho and the 60, where we initially meet up.
Keep an eye on this thread to see if we need to postpone to Sunday. I'm getting nervous about the forecast in Oracle. Their 4500' elevation might be "interesting". I'll wait until tomorrow's (Friday) forecast to decide.

I'm going to have to do the same. My account got hacked. Happy New Year!

I checked the weather for tomorrow in Oracle, 40° high and 77% chance of rain. Drive safe and keep warm.

Based upon the weather reports I am thinking about going to Winkleman and then returning on Rt 77. I am checking if Porters will be open in Superior on Main St. for a late lunch. Comments?

I suspect, based on the weather report for tomorrow, Karl is going to postpone the run until Sunday. So we'll do our new Year's Day run on the day after New Year's Day. So that means that instead of missing all the college football games on television we'll have to miss the Cardinals game on Sunday so we'll see what shakes.

POSTPOMED: ACCUWEATHER has scared me away from doing the run on Saturday SOOOO, let's do the same run as posted on Sunday. Saturday's Winkleman weather is sketchy and Oracle's is obscene. Sunday's forecast for both places is much nicer.
See youse on SUNDAY, 01/02/22

@KarlzEE Bebout if you gents didn't want to chance it or miss out on the football game the weather is a bit warmer up north so if interested we can meet up at the fountain in Fountain Hills.
Take N McDowell Mountain Rd to N Forest Rd
N. Forest to E Rio Verde Dr which becomes E Dynamite Blvd
E Dynamite Blvd to Pima Rd
Pima Rd to E Cave Creek Rd.
E Cave Creek Rd to E Bartlett Dam Rd
(E Bartlett Dam Rd has some nice twists all the way to the lake and back roughly 30 miles)
Leave the Lake and head to downtown Cave Creek to plenty of bars and restaurants with TVs for the game

Grkmf3 The road to Bartlett is fun but you really have to watch our for LEOs. They love to make you a revenue source.
The weather for Sunday, all along our route is forecasted to be dry. Nipply, but dry.
