John, good to hear that you and Julie will be going on the Rt66 run. Would be a good idea for you to get your Red Roof Inn room reserved before they maybe sell through our block of rooms.

Thanks - already booked. Ground floor at that.

Hello all,
I know that we are still a bit early for this but I wanted to plant the seed.*Some of us "Westsiders" are going up to Chino Valley via Wickenburg, Yarnell and Prescott.*We welcome any of you to join us.
Here is the TENTATIVE Schedule: Depart from the Fry's Gas Station at 25371 N Lake Pleasant Pkwy, Peoria at (Lake Pleasant and Happy Valley) at 7:45. There is only a one hour delta and 30 miles between the routes but with a lot more turns and NO Freeways. A secondary Departure location at the Wild Horse Restaurant on Lake Pleasant Pkwy south of Carefree highway (8415 W Carefree Hwy, Peoria) will be available for anyone coming in via I-17... We promise to stop this time. LOL.
Anyways, enough*for now, I will repost with firm times as we get closer to the date of Departure.*
Best Regards,
Juan

Juan, I'm thinking I MAYBE join youse on your route. Sounds a whole lot better than all the I17 driving. As the time gets closer, perhaps you might want to make a separate posting, just to give the idea more visibility.

Booked. Just need my car running or I'll have to drive the JAFM!

KarlzEE Bebout 02-19-2022 10:40 PM

Some people use any excuse to drive their JAFM:eek:

Danr55 02-20-2022 02:58 PM

"all the I-17 driving"=45minutes on I-17. Wow!

KarlzEE Bebout 02-21-2022 09:43 AM

45 minutes is too long, where there is a viable alternative. I just never get the thrill of having oncoming traffic when I'm passing someone on an inner state.

2bars 03-30-2022 04:12 PM

We are booked too

2bars 03-30-2022 04:14 PM

We will just head up on our own and see you there.

DrDuc 03-30-2022 11:02 PM

Juan says my car has a new front suspension and handles like a dream. I have to get out to his place to pick it up. Apparently, some guy in Maricopa that worked on it years ago put the right upper A-arm on upside down and that was screwing things up. Little did I know. So I should be able to do Route 66 in something other than a JAFM. That will make Karl happy!

Danr55 03-31-2022 07:47 PM

Two bars, where is there? Seligman, Kingman, or ?????

DrDuc 04-03-2022 06:07 PM

I have my Cobra back from Juan. Drives like a dream! He does great work! :) Should be happy times on Route 66.

aliedog 04-06-2022 09:20 PM

KarlzEE Bebout 04-10-2022 10:49 AM

19 days, but who's counting. I'll be going the alternate route with whoever.
Juan, have you determined a lift off and location?

I'm definitely looking forward to Lilo's Westside Restaurant in Seligman. None of that SnowCap stuff for me:eek:

aliedog 04-10-2022 07:09 PM

We are thinking of going to Hover Dam on Saturday,,Its a 75 mile trip and will be doing the 30 dollar tour .. and when we come back we will go to car show to win another trophy (((Ha Ha)

Al and Patty

KarlzEE Bebout 04-11-2022 08:23 AM

I toured the dam in 1984 and was mightily impressed! The engineering and workmanship is astounding. Do you have to purchase the tickets in advance? Enjoy!

Well we never know what time we will roll from the house. We will most likely head to Seligman to register first then to the hotel in Kingman.
Ill keep watching your plans on here.

Because we are adding two stops to this trip to visit friends in Williams and Ashfork. I will be towing, between the enclosed car hauler and dually, I will have lots of room for chairs and such. If anyone needs me to bring something.
