It's only about 300 miles from Malibu to the old Fort Ord. Were you maybe thinking of Fort Bragg. That's about 600 miles and a lot more coast line.
If the dates align for me, I'll be more than willing but I'm taking a trip up to the Black Hills around the first couple weeks of September. Let me know when you firm up on dates.
