Default Coronado Trail 2023

I know it's a ways off, but we should start thinking and planning for this year's Coronado Trail Run. Saturday and Sunday, October 7th and 8th will hopefully get us away from triple digit temperatures in the Valley and yet early enough to avoid getting too frigid for Sunday's drive from Eager/Springerville.

Meet at the Chevron station at Idaho and the 60 TBD on Saturday morning, Oct 7th. Drive to Globe then down to Safford. On to Morenci. Some will go on the Coronado Trail and some will continue East and then North in NM to Alpine and on to Springerville for the night. Leave Sunday for breakfast in Showlow. On to either Payson or Globe and the Valley. That's the thumbnail.

Juan, please post if youse Westsiders are going to do a different Route/timetable.

According to the local Chamber of Commerce, there's no rodeo or any such thing planned that weekend.

I'll make arrangements at the Eager Best Western after I get an idea of just how many will participate.

Here is the Plan for the Coronado Trail Run Plus 1:
We will depart on Friday 6 Oct. 7:29.59am. from the New Shell Gas Station located at 34951 N Lake Pleasant Pkwy, Peoria (just north of the Wild Horse restaurant) We’ll head west to Wickenburg, then north to Prescott, Jerome, before heading East to Camp Verde, Strawberry, Payson, Show low and Eager. There will be many stops along the way.
The Plan for Saturday 7 Oct is:
We will depart at (TBD) down the New Mexico side: Alpine, Alma, Pleasanton and Morenci to meet up with the rest of the Cobra Club then up the Coronado Trail to Eager or follow Karl back up the New Mexico side.
Sunday return home with the rest of you guys.
