Default Decision Process cont. (Engines??)

Well I had an opportunity to talk to Mike Kenney and John Rippel. I also talked with Randy Resetar. I've pretty well narrowed my choice of kit.

Now while I decide exactly what I want to include, I need to start thinking about the powerplant. At Randy's suggestion I moseyed on over to Duffee's and looked around and talked to Jeremy. (While there I spotted Jim B.'s awesome 289 FIA and his engine )

Anyway to make a long story short (too late I know) I want to run a small block (this is a 289 FIA I'm gonna build) and I'd like some suggestions on engine builders. Preferably in the Phoenix area but not a firm requirement.

My HP requirement is 300 to 350 (which should be easy) . Key is reliablity and possibility to "upgrade the HP" at some later point without having to start with a new block.

Jeremy recommended a stock 302 block stroked to 347. He mentioned the one drawback to this is that 347 stroker's eat some oil. I'm not a tree hugger but I'd like to avoid this.

Any thoughts on engines, builders??? brand of piston's, heads? Cam, Crank? etc.

Give Gordon Levy a call....480-446=8442

He has many engine options for you. 302 to 347; 351 to 408
