Animals
"House of the Rising Sun". You guys remember that song?
Those of you coming up here for the Run To The Pines weekend should know that on Sat night, 9-28-02, Eric Burton and The Animals will be appearing at the Hondah Center.
Might be fun to check out.
Anyone interested? I'd be happy to run up to Hondah and pick up tickets. I don't know what the cost is, but I can check it out and let you know, if interested.

Mikec, I attended the "5 & Dinner " car show tonight. I was the only Cobra. Bill Neurath also drove over in his truck because the 427 side oiler is having some head work done. I'll let Bill fill you in on all of the details, the result of his blown head gasket is a lot of new knowledge about the heads and the intake manifold and the fit of the two. The outcome is that he'll have even more horsepower. In a month, on Oct. 5th, the " 5 & Dinner " is going to reserve six or seven slots for us and give us discounts on food and drinks. I may be out of town and I hope that Bill Neurath will help encourage the guys to attend. Also, Bill and MO are going to Aruba for two weeks. I got the water temp. gauge fixed, now I'm working on the horn. John

John,
Up here the 5 & Diner at 75th ave and Bell has a small show every Tuesday night. All participants get free soda's all night. One of the waitresses will come out and select the car of the week. That owner gets to park in the position of honor the next week and gets a T-shirt. Generally have 4 to 5 cobras in attendance. Bob Broberg is the Co-ordinator this year. He got the job by default. The previous co-ordinator told us he was not going to do it this year...Bob was not there so he got elected.
Mike
P.S. It is good to see that you are getting the car out.

Mikec, I have printed your above reply and will present it to the owner of our "5 & Dinner", he is a car guy and I hope that he'll do what your owner is doing up there. I spoke too soon about the water temp. gauge, when I shut the car off the first time the needle stopped at 190 degrees and I was happy, however, it stayed there all night and when I drove it the next day it started at 190 and went to 220 +and it stayed at that temp over night, I drove it today and again it started at 220+ and pegged out at 280. That is where the needle is at now, about eight hours after I shut it off. ??????????? I have written a letter to Stewart-Warner and asked them what is going on. They are in El Paso so I hope to receive a reply by Friday. John

Ok, back to the Animals concert:
Tickets are $20.00 per person, first come, first served.
I'm not sure of the seating arrangements of the Center but today the lady on the phone said there are lots of seats still available.
Hondah has a toll free number of 1-800-929-8744 - ask for the gift shop after hitting "0", to order tickets by credit card.
Or, if I can help, I'd gladly run up there and pick tickets up and have them for you when you arrive on the mountain.
Let me know.

Mike,
No problem - I'll run up there Friday (tomorrow) and get them.
I'll email you my phone number and directions to where we are so you can stop by, or, I'll surely see you Sat am at the car event.
