It's on the way ....
Hi everybody,
#3923 is on it's way to Chandler. Ray from Stuart Trans. called to say that it should make it here by Thursday. We plan to have a little uncrating celebration on Sat 2nd Nov. Now I am a little hesitant to publish my address here for all of cyberspace to see so if you are interested in free pizza and beer drop me a pm. and I will send directions.
All are welcome ... Dave

Dave,
What a bummer, I won't be able to to make it. That's when me and the wife hit the road for our yearly camping adventure.
I'm sure that there will be a bunch of those guys that won't pass on the free pizza and beer.

Dave, so far my calendar is open on Sat. the 2nd. I'll try to make it up there and maybe bring another Cobra from Tucson. Please email me your address and anything else that I'll need to get there. Oh yes, do NOT let MIKEC give out any instructions on how to find your place. John

I'd love to help. If I can squeeze it in between the boy's baseball game, soccer game and rumage sale that we're doing that weekend

John, Dave, Scott...
Looks like I'm going to have to work this weekend. So I will not be able to make the un-crating party.

Dave, what time do you want us to start arriving ? I'm planning to arrive there about 10:30am. Will I be in time ? And for Mikec - I suppose that I am to find my own way from the rest area ? Sorry that you can't make it. We hope to see you down here in Tucson in November. John

Paula (spousal unit) has planned everything for about 5:30 pm Sat, however, Stuart Trans should call today with the exact arrival time. My thoughts are that the house is open from when I get the beer to when it runs out. Don't worry there is no chance of that happening. I am just looking forward to meeting you all whenever you can visit.
I will post the actual arrival time as soon as Stuart Trans. calls until then I apologize for my vagaries.

Ray, (Stuart Trans driver) called. The car arrives tomorrow, Thursday, at about noon. Now I know I won't sleep tonight. It's a good job that we completed the body buck last week. Anybody that wants to drop by tomorrow feel free. I will be back from the airport about 10:00am.
Saturdays pizza and beer will still happen as planned.
If you can't make it Sat. come by when you can ...

Dave,
Take lots of pics on how the aluminum is located. Taking care to photo the overlap of panels. Once that is done trace with a sharpie marker, the underside of the panels, outlining all metal framing members. This gives you an out line to start pre-drilling the aluminum. Only after the above 2 steps have been done should you remove the aluminum and start on the suspension etc..

Dave, take your time ! Can we come up on Saturday morning or is everything planned for the evening ? There are two of us from Tucson who are planning to come up there but we have commitments in the late afternoon. Two things that you need to learn 1) HAVE A VACUMN CLEANER IN THE GARAGE. 2) HAVE AN OLD PAIR OF SHOES TO WEAR only IN THE GARAGE. John

I would like to publicly thank Mikiec, John-Tucson and Lyle for taking the time out of your day to come over and visit. Our guests loved your cars and appreciated your patience in answering the myriad of questions launched at you. I knew going in that this project would be fun, I had underestimated how much.
---- A BIG THANKYOU ---
Both Paula and I are looking forward to Sunday and meeting more of you down in Tucson.
By the way there is some pizza left over, cold rule applies.
