Newbie Questions
I'm interested in building a Cobra --
Suggest some good lists to subscribe to or UUNet newsgroups?
Favorite kits (Factory Five looks easy -- what are the downsides?)
AZ Licensing? and emissions?
What else should I know?
Thanks in advance,
JB

The downside to building any kit is:
TIME - it requires copious amounts of time to build a cobra
MONEY - it is usually cheaper to buy one allready built, than build one
this assumes you allready have all the tools, space, and knowledge to do the job

JB,
My Factory Five was finished five years ago last month. It took me less than 3 months, working about 2 hours a day to get it on the road. After 5 years of great fun, I sold it on Ebay for about what I had in it. I think the Factory Five is the best kit car for the bucks that you could ever have.

Ozone..
First, I suggest you go see Gordon.
Second, send me an email so I can add you to the Arizona Cobra mailing list.
Third, join us for our second anniversary party. Lots of cars and people to meet. I'll send you the info once I receive your email.
There are a couple of builds going on now within 10 miles of you.
Lastly...Go see and talk to Gordon.
Mike

Are we talking about the Team-C racing version, or some other?

Nope...
The Cheetah is not a Cobra, but Chevy's futile attempt to challange the Cobra on the track....
OK, I'm ready for the flames....
Mike
P.S. Here is one article about the Cheetah: http://www.suntimes.com/output/auto/...ws-clas06.html

It was indeed Chevys "futile" attempt tp challenge Cobra. They make a strong case for a replica NOT being built exactly like the "original", lol.
