Thanks to Paula, Ginny, Hersh and Mike
The Second Anniversary and Christmas Party of the Arizona Cobra Club was a success. Thanks to Paula and Ginny without whom it would never have happened. Hershal and Mike who were the Mr. Congeniality of the day. The Marines took away a pickup truck load of toys for the "Toys for Tots" program. To David Knight for his metal sculpture of a Cobra. To those of you who missed the party, David made a 24" metal sculpture of the Cobra. This item was auctioned off by Hersh who did not show it to anyone but auctioned a 1" metal pin from the base of the sculpture. The bidding went to $85.00 for the sight-unseen object. We were bidding on Hershal's word only. Stewart won the bidding, then and only then did we see the item we'd bid for. A huge Thank You to Stewart because the $85.00 went to the "Toys for Tots" program. Ginny conducted the Yankee Auction like a pro, the most popular items turned out to be the kits of Meguire's Car Wax and the four-car die cast collectable Mustang cars, along with the California duster. The items seemed to travel frequently between Jerry, Paul, Dave, and John. Thanks to the wives who brought delicious items to eat and those wonderful chocolate cookies and fudge and dirt. The 20 Cobras, a GT-40, and Ginny's car ( I know of two wives who want it ) provided plenty of interest for everyone. There were always people looking at the cars, comparing notes and ideas and meeting a face to go with the email address. Once again, thank you Paula and Hershal for the use of your home, and to Ginny and Mike for leading our club (gang) through another year. Aida and John
