Default Pavillions cruise in on B-J weekend

Well, the Scottsdale Pavillions weekly cruise in was jammed packed -- as it always is this weekend of the year (Barrett-Jackson weekend -- which is about an 8 minute drive to the north). Rain early in the day and lots of clouds meant the light for picture taking wasn't ideal, but I thought I'd still go ahead and post them.

First of all, some of the local fare:

AZ Cobras crew -- note that first car has a Cobra mod engine...

El Presidente

Plate says it all...

Ditto (nice SPF)

More can be seen HERE

Enjoy!

Thanks, Ben. Nice pics. Makes me homesick as I sit here in the -20 degree C weather in Canada. Wind chill is about -30 C so we're staying indoors today.

Watched some of the B-J auction yesterday. The black Shelby 4000 series went for $105,000. Didn't see any of the others go across while I was watching. Interesting that a 70 Plymouth Hemi-Cuda went for (if I recall correctly) $147,500. Not bad for something which originally sold for about seven grand.

Hey, Ben..

It was great seeing you again as always. Wish the weather was nicer. But, I'de rather be here than where Chopper is.

Mike

Sorry I bugged out yesterday. Everytime I'd go outside, the gray, the gloom, the dampness and the 50° temperature made me think that I was not really wanting to be spending a bunch of hours out in it. I did talk to a guy that went to the PAV at 8 AM and he said it was crowded then. Must have had one heck of a trun out. Sorry I missed it. I do so like being the "rose among the thorns" with my azzbackwards motor. Doesn't the distributor look so much better at the back of the engine?

Karl, A true Cobra replica with a correct facing motor is not afraid of a little falling sky water.

There were some spaces available when I got there about 10:30 11am. The rest of the day was very nice.

Missed the copper funny car. Or, is that the funny copper car.

Mike

P.S. Is the neck fully healed? I just realized you were not wearing it for the pics last weekend.
