Talking Title & Registration

After five weeks and five trips to the local MVD the titling and registration ordeal is finally over. I went in this morning with a “Power of Attorney,” copies of the original invoices and purchase agreements, the “Bill-of-Sale” selling the car to me, my first born male child (just in care they need something of value). I was prepared to do what ever was necessary to get the car on the road including “bonding the car” as one MVD clerk said I had to do, to paying sales tax ($1800.00) as another MVD clerk said I had to do. I got there at opening (8:00 am) ready to go. My number was call and I gave the clerk (a different one this time) the “Power of Attorney” and the Mfg. Origination and much to my surprise that’s all she wanted. Ten minutes and $27.00 later (I could have kissed her) I’m out the door with a new Title, registration and plate. Just goes to show, it all depends on who waits on you at MVD

Donald, when I went to the DMV in Mesa, it was on a Wed. There was some guy that comes up from Casa Grande on Wed. to help out in Mesa. What a tool!! Didn't have a clue. Wanted me to get someone from FFR to come to Phx and install a number on my frame. Yeah right! Went in 2 days later and was out in 10 min.

I went to the same MVD in Mesa off of Greenfield and other than the 3+ hour wait had no problems with my Lister. I gave them the MSO, receipts for the major components (engine and transmission) and was done in about 10 minutes with the level 2 inspection. Then I went back inside to get the title and registeration and that was a breeze as well. I was also waiting for the sales tax thing since I had heard it mentioned before but it never materialized. Guess its pretty safe to say that nobody should go down to Casa Grande to get their car done.
