Default Holbrook Cobra

Saw a Cobra south of Holbrook @ 6:45 Sat morn. Kind of unusual. Out in the middle of nowhere. It was chilly too.

Could it have been Sean Commerford? I think he lives in the area.

Jim,

Is Sean going to trailer his car to the Run to the Pines thing?

Might have to drive up to check it out.

Mike, Sean reads this stuff so maybe he'll answer. It's downhill from Show Low to Pinetop, so maybe he'll push it. I think he likes to trailor it cause he gets such good gas milage. If he ever got it running for more than a mile, he would have a heart attack.

Such derogatory remarks about a nice guy and his FORD powered car, and from fellow FORD guys, at that.
BTW, I finally had to do some non-elective work on my car. Seems the new tires hook up well enough that I ripped through the driver's side motor mount. Spent a little "quality" time under the car Saturday replacing both motor mounts and the trannny mount with Energy Suspension neoprene units since I've heard that its not good to mix and match.

I guess it's about time I cought everybody up on my car. I was having a real irritating over heating problem. The car would idle all day and not over heat but I couldn't drive 5 miles until the needle was pegged. The bottom radiator hose from the hard line to the water pump was collapsing when the engine was reved. Fixed that. Timing chain covers for 302's and 351's are different. I had a 302 cover and the front seal leaked (small block chevy parts interchange all over the place). Fixed that. Aluminum flywheel needed balancing. Fixed that. Jetted the primaries down on the Edelbrock 750 and she runs like stink! I have put about 500 miles on in the last 2 weeks in spite of the rain! I'll be cruisin' wth you guys during Run To The Pines. We're having fun now!

Sean, it's about time.

Karl, I just replaced my motor mounts with the energy suspension poly mounts. Seems like my little whimpy 302 was way to much for the stock convertible ones.

About time is right. Hey Mikie, it took 2 pages to get you in the latest issue of Kit Car but by golly there you are on pages 36 and 37 along side ol' silver!

Yup, Sean.

The crease in the page went up the crack in my toookis.

Jim, If you do not have the magazine I can scan in the pic for you. Ole 2290 was in both kit car builder and kit car. Poor Ginny felt left out.

I'd like a picture. Tell Ginny to get her own toookis crack.

Thumbs up Painted at last

mrpink...mikiec

Hi guys,

My son just "Posted" some new photos of the Cobra on my gallery here. Now in paint at last.

Still a little work to do on it but a good day will see it back and running (finished )

I look forward to doing a few 6.00am runs myself..

Todd has started a "Thread" about the paint over on the "Australian Forum" - 'New pictures in my gallery.'

Cheers

Bernie

mrpink

Thanks, yes I'm pleased. As I keep saying will work on it for another day and it will be back on the road.

Ayers Rock is about 10 hours (north of us). May get up there with the Cobra one day.

Sorry I would have put a picture on here of the recent paint job, but I'm at the office and don't have the cables or the camera.

Todd started the 'Thread" over on the Australian Forum' when I was at work.

Take care.

Bernie
