Default Thanks to my Pit Crew

Thanks for the push start this morning. For those who didn't go on the Fun Run, me and my son Evan went to leave this morning our battery was dead, on the second push attempt the car started up. I left it running while we got gas and we got on the road. The voltmeter was running high, close to 15v turn on engine fan and blower to bring it down to 14v, about 5 miles outside of Wickenburg the volt meter drip down to 12v and I turn the fans off and it went back to a little over 14v. I decided to stop at Checker in Wickenburg to check for loose connentions, I turned it off and it was dead again, looks like my battery is toast, oh well I need to take out my battery to finsh my 3-link away. One the kids working at Chacker and my son were able to push start it again and we made it home just before 10am. I hope everyone else has a quiet ride home.

Paul,

That Battery isn't that old. Glad you made it home.

When I went through Oatman, there was nary a donkey in sight (nor was there a parking space). Thinking I had left my cellphone in Kingman, I continued on, enjoying the drive and not stopping for souvenirs, etc. But, what a drive! That was great fun, and the new car behaved well - first trip very far from home. I was back in Kingman, found the phone, & stopped for lunch, all before 12:30. Thanks all - especially Mike and Ginny for making it fun and easy.

Great trip. Great people. Great weath.... forget that one. Rained on Friday. Froze on Saturday. Good weather the rest of Saturday and all of Sunday. Thank you Mike, you saved me 50 miles Friday (4 gallons) and I saved another 100 miles Sunday (8 gallons). Paul, you are welcome. I got home about 10:30am. Drove back with Jim Olson and Bob Potter. Trip was Fun, Fun Fun. Friday dinner was great and the motel great. Saturday the usual Travel Lodge (cheap) and Pizza Hut (cheap and close). Best parts as always was the gatherings in parking lots. Good to see Dave and his Daytona. Nice to see Jim and Patty actually driving. Good to see Dee, Lysle, Stuart and Fitz.
Although we didn't need Bill's (Gilldersleve) Towing Service We thank him all the same for volunteering.
Next - The Great Heber July 4th Burn-out!

Also, some funky yellow smoke coming from Paul's car. Bob Potter left his credit card at the gas station. We called from my house and they are going to mail it. Again...thanks to the Prez and the Prezette for the reservations. Go Suns!!

I guess I need to add Bob P to the list...

Jim, They are mailing the card to you so we can use it for awhile.

I'll do a write up soon.

Bob - message received. You got it. Sorry about your headlight...was it a stray rock? Better the light than the paint or $1000 windshield, I suppose.
