Default Coupe Is On The Mend

The insurance company worked out a deal With Scott's Coach Works and there starting to repair it...They said 4 weeks but I'm figuring 8 weeks. 2 insurance adjusters flew in about a week ago and found a few more things that got tweeked in the crash...Radiator and condenser(gettting new ones) Dave

Dave...glad it's on the mend. I was asking RThompson if he knew anything about your re-build yesterday. RT said your insurance company wanted to total it. It must be close? Good luck with the mend.

They finally agreed to fix it and Scott's Coach Works is doing the job..It came out to almost $21,000 but the insurance company left a few things open..We don't know the extent of damge to the A/C yet..I had work done to it about 6 months before $2200 .. all new a/c system..that's not working currently and possible damage to A/C condensor and it needs a new radiator..I have no clutch..It's probably just a clutch cable though..They told me 4 weeks to do the job with 2 or 3 men on it...I told them I'd pick it up in 8 weeks....dave

went to see the coupe today ..Everything repaired on the front right wheel. The new bonnet has been sanded and they are now fitting the hood too the body..All openings have been cut except the side airducts and the hood latch areas....Taking the radiator over to Manny's house tomorrow to install the new shroud and two new high volume 11" fans.. two wheels are being repaired a 4 new tires are ready to be put on..Putting spinners on instead of the center caps and sending Mike Everson's custom center caps back to him..He's been really nice to me and that's the least I can do for him.. Dave

FITZ, I'D ONLY USE SCOTT"S FOR ACCIDENT REPAIR...THERE IS NO FINER IN MY OPINION..YOU OUGHT TO SEE THE WELDING JOB...YOU CAN'T EVEN SEE THE WELDS AT ALL.THEY"RE SLOW BUT THEY DO EXCELLENT WORK...I'M PUTTING POWER STEERING IN SO IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE THAT WANTS A 1.5 to 1 FLAMING RIVER MANUAL RACK, I HAVE ONE..I JUST HAVE TO FIGURE OUT A PRICE FOR IT IS ALL..BY THE WAY, IF YOU GO DOWN TO SCOTT'S ASK FOR HARRY..HE'S THE ONE DOING THE WORK ON THE COUPE...
