More info

It won't be crowded for making passes and I should add you're not likely to get thrown out for making faster passes. Do bring associated safety equipment, long sleve jacket, long pants, Snell helmet, etc.

If you ever wanted to run your car all out, just wanted to glide down the strip for fun or somewhere in-between this is the event. If you don't like drag racing, but like cool cars and Cobras there won't be a shortage of cool cars to see with many of them making passes.

I was hoping to go but I'm still sorting out my front spring issue. Some new springs should be on there way to me but I won't have them installed by Saturday.

Big fun, but frustrating to both of us. The traction just didn't come around, even after the track temperature got better. I has a couple 11.25 @ 120MPH runs, on gasoline only. I even tried my old, larger tires that had worked for my 10.74 run in the past, but they didn't do as well as the smaller Mickey Thompson drag radials. I did spray a 100HP shot the last two runs and actually went a little slower, but picked up 5 MPH. With the poor traction, I didn't hit the bottle until into 2nd gear and my best 60' time was just under 1.9. Long ways from the mid 1.50's I used to get. This was the second time I attended the Scottsdale club day and I noticed both times that the track does not get the prep it does on normal events. I'm going to have to try it again when they use the traction compound. Seems to have made a considerable difference. Still, I'm happy with the difference the Pro Systems carb gave me, even without the traction. I went .19 quicker and almost 3 MPH faster than my best, without the spray.

I had traction problems too. Most off the passes I just gave up after 1st and 2nd was going bad. I did run one out with 130.33 mph trap speed and only an 11.2. DA was 1480ft at the time of that pass.

They must have a way to get more traction on the track.

I have Videos, but my computer won't alow the dvd recording to load up and edit. I need a new computer.
