I received this fax this morning...
Date April 10, 2007
To: Interested parties
From Nancy C. Wrona, Director, Air Quality Division
This memo is to inform you that the U.S. Environmental protection Agency (EPA) has approved a request to exempt collectible vehicles in metropolitian Phoenix and Tucson and motorcycles in metropolitan Tucson from Arizona's vehicle emissions testing programs.
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) submitted the exemption request to EPA on December 23, 2005. Final EPA approval of the exemptions was published in the Federal Register on March 30, 2007, and becomes effective April 30, 2007. More information on the exemption request and EPA's approval is available on the ADEQ Web site at http://carcare.axdeq.gov. If you have any questions reqarding the exemption request or EPA's action call me or Ira Domsky, Deputy Director, Air Quality Division, at (602)771-2308

There are alot of us that fought for this. Not so much for our cars, as most of them are registered here as 1965 SPCON. But, for the classic and collector cars and cobras not covered under 1965 registrations.
The bikes were left out of the Phoenix area because of the numbers involved.
